  1. Still, a 5 year contract to AJ "Primadonna" Burnett seem ludicrous to me, his dedication to the game is suspect to say the least.
  2. It would be easier to say "Sometimes, prominent players who are near free agency surface in trade rumors, even if they are superstars", generalizing is never a good idea, since it always fails, Doiji, my friend. Also, IIRC, Lowell was mentioned in the Helton trade rumors prior to the start of the 2007 season, but that's just for aclaration purposes. However, never once during his Red Sox tenure did i hear/read the name Curt Schilling mentioned in trade rumors.
  3. Letting him pitch in the WBC equals recipe for disaster to me.
  4. So BOY hates fat people too?????
  5. Well let him strain his oblique and have a try at it then, i assure you the results will not be pretty.
  6. You can never have enough depth.
  7. Only thing that scares me about CC is, BMS also gets to pitchers....... so after 3 seasons, it might all go downhill...... And btw, good one, Rician.......i lol'd
  8. Well people can dream....
  9. You gotta think like CC here......if by waiting maybe a month and a half you could, in theory, rise your salary by 3 or 4mil/year, would you not do it too?
  10. I seriously seriously doubt it...... then again, everything's possible......
  11. If you take ORS's and this point into consideration, then getting Teixeira makes sense in a whole other level, since taking his age into account, he would actually be a part of this core of players when in a couple of years all of their salaries will be close enough to his that if we assume he maintains his current level of production, his salary might seem quite affordable given market value, not to mention the immediate (if not so substantial) upgrade over Mike Lowell, because one of the things most people aren't taking into account is that Mike's signed for a couple more years, meaning more time for decline while Tex is in the middle of his prime years. I'm gonna go ahead and jump on the "Get Tex" bandwagon.
  12. Exactly why does this have its own thread?
  13. I still think he'd be more important as half of THE 1-2 bullpen punch in the american league, bsides, his lack of a polished 3rd pitch is a cause for concern. Starter: Serviceable, at least until he gets another year of matchups against quality ML lefty hitters under his belt. Reliever: Damn near elite alongside Pap, will also acquire experience required. But hey, that's just my opinion.
  14. Masterson starting seems like a longshot at best to me.
  15. Otherwise, all hell might break loose, i.e: Having to overpay for Fielder or *shurgs* Paul Konerko. Bringing Anderson ahead of time. Having to settle for a lesser option. None of those options seem pretty to me.
  16. Burnett is a Primadonna, and that's about all i'm gonna say about that. 5/80 for him is plain ridiculous.
  17. Agree Agree, he might even put up better numbers than Giambi next year. Truer words have never been spoken. You butchered the english language, but agree yet again. Don't agree, this will be proven over time, but it might very well be the case.
  18. I lol'd.

    NL MVP

Every time the MVP voters get it right, there must be a strange fluctuation in the time/space continuum, because that sure is weird these days.....
  20. lolwut
  21. Johnson is a possibility.
  22. Questionable yet necessary.
  23. I voted after Pedroia was announced the winner. Just 'cause i'm cool like that.
