  1. Duran is a good example of why you don't immediately write off young, well-regarded talent when they initially struggle.
  2. C Wong 1B Canha 2B Romy 3B Drury SS Rafaela LF Refsnyder CF Duran RF O'Neill DH Devers (Partial Rest) U no like?
  3. Now I really like Grissom, because what he said will piss off the talksox old guard.
  4. Max, you have some weird take my man. This is a weird hill to die on.
  5. His hard hit and line drive rate last night says otherwise!
  6. Last game: .667/.800/1.000 What did he do last night?
  7. What have you done for me lately alert: Masataka Yoshida last 7 games: .321/.387/.464
  8. I'm really high on Yorke, but this.
  9. I think they'll buy, but not big. A RHH, and a half-decent starter.
  10. It's not just Bailey. The entire pitching infrastructure has been overhauled. The Sale trade is still defensible, and no one, and I mean no one, expected Giolito to be injured. Ineffective? Maybe. But that's a whole other argument.
  11. Not rocket science.
  12. They don't 'preciate my kind 'round here.
  13. Baldur's Gate 3. What a game.
  14. Red, talking with you is very much going through s***** water indeed.
  15. They probably have a certain level of faith in fixing Bello.
  16. Sure. But even if he doesn't pan out this year, he's 23 and has plenty of time to right the ship unless they completely give up on him. The tools are there.
  17. Red Sox team ERA: 3.61 (7th in MLB), K/9: 8.68 (10th in MLB), BB/9 2.60 (4th in MLB), WHIP: 1.19 (6th). You can mention Chris Sale as much as you want, this is one of the top run prevention units in the league so far. That is a fact. What isn't a fact is what Chris Sale may or may have not brought to the table. Let's not deal in what-ifs, let's deal in facts. The fact is the pitching infrastructure of this team is miles better than it was last year, as the team has turned from one of the worst run prevention units in the league to one of the best, under Breslow and the pitching coach he brought in . The rest is noise.
  18. Every young player in the history of this sport has been a heap of ifs.
  19. I am not only shocked, but appalled!
  20. How has Breslow bombed anything regarding the current or projected pitching staff for this team? Just curious.
  21. Projecting, he is.
  22. You predict everything negatively. You have to be right a certain amount of the time. If someone goes through every sewer's s***** water looking for golden rings on a daily basis, eventually they'll find some, but that doesn't alter the fact that they're swimming through turds.
  23. And one more thing, "speed kills" is a baseball fact, but it's absolutely impossible to prove that "distracting the pitcher" correlates better with scoring runs than slugging, in all of its aspects, because it's not true. However, the binding between both methods of production is OBP, which is absolutely, demonstrably and unequivocally the most important component of offensive production.
  24. Why do you have to be such a f***ing prick? If you're not going to add anything to the discussion, why post at all? He's making valid points, if you don't agree, state why you don't agree.
  25. I see that the site's vitriol has turned from Yoshida to Grissom. Very "What have you done for me lately", as usual.
