    As soon as this team loses two games in a row, a bunch of people here become insufferable and make it hard to post on the site. It's not that complaining isn't warranted, but as I understand it, this a *baseball discussion* forum, not a *let's whine until the site is unreadable* forum.

    Rangers are done IMO. And many of the sources I've read believe this is posturing by Young. But he may really believe in his club. We'll see.

    There's a lot of context to be analyzed in Gomber's numbers though. Not a fan myself. Something tells me old friend Eovaldi might wind up rejoining the Red Sox.

    Yeah not the point. You come up here with this "gotcha" crap, as clearly stated by your post, and it's clearly not true, and that's evident to anyone following the draft. They weren't clearly "hunting for pitching". They drafted big-bodied, projectable pitchers in a draft that was weak in position players, and even then, their first pick was an OF who was the best athlete available, and their most exciting pick a two-way player who was clearly the best athlete available at the time.     Yeah, this. His launch angle is strangely low for a guy his size and with very much an uppercut swing.

    This was the worst position player crop in maybe the last decade. And they only signed two more pitchers than last draft. Like, if you don't really understand how something works, why spew this BS?

    I don't think Devers and Vlad are comparable, as you can argue Devers is the better athlete. That's why he still plays the field and Vlad does not. Guerrero hit the ball very hard, but needs improvement to his launch angle from what I've gathered. There's something there.

    I think it's a conditioning issue, not a coaching issue. As a fat guy I can tell you being fatter than usual f***s you up.
