  1. So, in essence....bring back Epstein or Duquette?
  2. He had the lowest exit velocity, hard hit % and barrel rate of his career, while the rest of his statcast numbers were just decent. Buyer beware.
  3. I hate it when you make sense.
  4. Jacob Degrom spent years being the best pitcher on this planet while having a mediocre record. Pitcher wins and losses are almost completely out of the control of the pitcher. We're not reinventing the wheel here.
  5. (Anyone who writes for The Athletic is pretty credible though.(
  6. W-L records are BS. Montgomery is a damn good pitcher, and should be their number 2 acquisition.
  7. Bro, $100 mil is peanuts in today's money. He'll clear 100 mil easy.
  8. I doubt Yama-San gets 300 mill honestly.
  9. What? I literally said pitcher W-L basically don't matter. They're as much a product of the team as they are actual pitching performance.
  10. People don't care about them because they're stupid. Check out the best season's of Jacob Degrom's and Felix Hernandez' careers and then talk to me about pitcher wins and losses.
  11. Very feisty..... for a ginger.
  12. Dude had a hard-hit rate above 55% for an entire season. That's absolutely bonkers.
  13. As someone who deals with cases like this for a living, I could not disagree with you more. Being open-and-close about a high-profile case like this one saying it's "damage control" is merely perpetuating a very real issue of people gaming the inter-gender violence system for their own benefit while damaging both real victims and innocent men accused of sexual violence. It also further alienates anyone with even a hint of an alternative lifestyle as "freaks". Quite honestly, the idea is beneath a gentleman and scholar such as yourself. As a baseball note, I'd be all for signing him on a prove-it deal.
  14. Are you judging a player by the collective IQ of the Yankees fandom? Rethink your position.
  15. My sanity, every time I log on here, goddamn.
  16. You've never been correct about anything in your entire life.
  17. It's a polite way of saying they'll be stretched out in case they need to spot start. Gotta contextualize the quote.
  18. I'd take Torres for a year in a heartbeat. He bats righty, and he can hit for power (for a MIF player especially) and get on base at a decent clip.
  19. He earned his contract on a rate basis. But the best ability is availability.
  20. He's a postseason beast.
  21. Obviously talking about the 144 IP in the regular season. This team would not have made the playoffs with that contribution alone. It's not a criticism of Eovaldi's postseason. You should answer what I post, not what you want to think I posted.
  22. You've changed, man.
  23. You would have whined a lot about the low IP count.
