  1. I guessed 27 and 15. Close, but no cigar.
  2. Incredible. I've never seen anything like this before.
  3. I'm very curious to see where Tebow falls.
  4. Not tonight, Phil.
  5. Glaus got robbed of a HR off Halladay today. But yeah, he is dominating. He could definitely win 25 games.
  6. Edit: beat me to it.
  7. You're a retard and a troll. Go away.
  8. And this is why the Cubs continue to be the laughingstock of baseball. Carlos Zambrano, a man who will earn $18 million this year, will become a set-up man. This is not a joke. This is Cubs management. Apparently, the Cubs believe Carlos Silva and Tom Gorzelanny are better than Zambrano. Zambrano got off to a rough start this year, but he's had 2 good outings and one so-so outing to go along with an atrocious outing. I'm not a big fan of Big Z, but to give up on him as a starter is so absurd it's not even funny. This is a fail on so many levels. The Cubs never cease to amaze. Best thing I ever did was give up on this ass backwards franchise.
  9. Jesus, a700's team is stacked with pitching. Aside from the obvious studs he has (Timmah, Wainwright, Beckett), it's possible Pelfrey has turned a corner with the splitter he's developed. Romero showed a lot of promise in the 1st half last year. This could be his breakout season. And I've always liked Slowey. Thought he was going to have his breakout season last year. I wasn't a believer in Wells, but he continues to pitch well. I still think he's due for a major regression, but he's proved me wrong so far.
  10. Getting Chris Snyder is the best suggestion you've made here, IMO. However, since Montero is on the DL I don't see how the D-Backs would be willing to part with Snyder at the moment.
  11. Massive failure is right. Also massive underachievers. I will be very disgusted if they get knocked out this early.
  12. You have to put a lot of blame on Martinez, but it is very easy to steal off knuckleballers because it obviously takes longer for the ball to get to the plate.
  13. If the Hawks don't win the next game, this series is over. Nashville is a good team, but the Hawks getting knocked out in the first round would be pretty embarrassing. They were hyped up soooo much this season.
  14. I've never liked Noah and thought Paxson made a huge mistake in drafting him (I was wrong), but I had to laugh at what he said about Cleveland.
  15. I gave my honest assessment of the deal. If you want to get personal over it, so be it.
  16. That was a good pickup. I was hoping to get him back at some point, but you beat me to the punch.
  17. I agree that Baker and Danks are better than Blanton. But not by a ton. Blanton had more quality starts than both of them last year (I think he had one more than Danks), and his ERA was lower than Baker's. He also had more strikeouts than Baker (one more) and Danks. And up until now, he has been very durable. Perez is the closer for the Guardians right now. He's given me 3 net saves. He will continue to be the closer for at least another week. You have 1 net save from the last 2 weeks.
  18. What trades did I propose to you?
  19. Whatever. You're being a baby.
  20. Dye isn't the solution, but he might be a bandage if he is still capable of being productive.
  21. Gom is clearly getting more value than Bulldogs. I think that is reason enough to vote against it, but that's just me.
  22. Put up ridiculous numbers on steroids. Look at his K/9 from 2002-2004. 12.5 15.0 12.5 His H/9 in 2003 was 4.0. His WHIP was 0.692. Video game numbers. The Barry Bonds of closers.
  23. Agreed, that's why I voted against it. I would urge you and others to do the same.
  24. Don't know about this trade between you and Bulldogs, Gom. Bulldogs is getting an upgrade at 1B with Morales over Helton. Gom is getting a huge upgrade with Verlander over Jorge De La Rosa. Yes, De La Rosa has pitched well since the All-Star Break, but he has never even approached 200 innings before. He's also unproven and pitches in Coors. Verlander will beat him in every FB category, except for maybe Ks. Maybe. Gom is also getting a huge upgrade with Granderson over Aardsma. Granderson is an everyday player with a good track record and a short porch in right field. Aardsma is possibly a one-year wonder closer with a bad track record. Seems like Gom is definitely getting the better deal here. I'd like to hear what others think.
