    So far, my offense has been a no-show. This matchup is far from over. Heyward is probably DL-bound. Cano is banged up and will miss a few games. Morneau is being pitched around with Mauer out of the lineup. Thank God I'm getting Cruz back next week.

    Actually, oddly enough the Bruins had Versteeg. They drafted him in 2004 and traded him to the Hawks in 2007 for Brandon Bochenski. In retrospect, a pretty lopsided trade.

    Hawks bounced back. I've got a serious man crush on Kris Versteeg.

    I thought Brett Cecil would pitch well tonight against the Guardians, but not this well. He has a perfect game through 6. And a low pitch count (69) to boot.

    Gonzalez is better than Howard right now, IMO. And more valuable than Ortiz was since he can actually field - and field well. They're not that high on Beltre. If they had really been so high on him, don't you think they would have signed him to more than a one-year deal?

    Yes, but fortunately for me they haven't all been hurt at the same time. Morneau and Zimmerman are playing tonight. I also have Nelson Cruz and Huston Street. My team is beset by injuries!

    Callaspo is a good player, but I don't think he's the type of impact player that will put the Sox over the top. The Sox need more thunder, IMO. Dunn and Gonzalez fit the bill.

    Smoak is a star in the making. Very strong rookie class this year, just like last year.

    As good as he can be, I don't see him overtaking Lester as the undisputed ace of the staff.
