  1. To play with Derrick Rose, who is better than anyone on the Knicks and the Cavs. Although I don't think he will come to Chicago. Would love to see it, though. Of course, I would also take Wade. But knowing the Bulls, they'll end up with Joe Johnson or Bosh. Not both. Miami makes sense. LeBron and Wade would be an unstoppable tandem. Would actually be unfair to the rest of the league. Start of a new dynasty.
  2. The best player in the game right now is clearly LeBron. Kobe has lost a step. And although Kobe might be a better finisher, I've seen them both disappear in big games. That's why I always laugh when people say LeBron is or will be considered the GOAT.
  3. Haha, he totally bailed out my offense today. Before Zimmerman, it was as ugly as it gets: 0 for 15, 2 BBs, 1 run scored
  4. Blaming the refs again, suns? Really? Stop being a sore loser.
  5. Dutchy made the same argument when Ian Kennedy had success in the Minors. Apparently, at 22 Kennedy was much older than everyone else in AA and AAA?
  6. A wet t-shirt cat fight? You might be onto something...
  7. The Hughes-Joba rotation debate looks pretty silly right now. Hughes is a stud.
  8. I love this post. This is essentially what I was trying to say. He said it better. There does seem to be a correlation between age and opinion on this matter. I myself am well under 30, but I guess I have an old school mentality. And strictly judging from the posts in this thread, I'd say members on this forum are split. I would say YeAuldBroade overreacted, but I confess I am disappointed by some of the posts here. Not that you should care if I'm disappointed. Just saying.
  9. Dice-K doesn't pitch deep enough into games to warrant Cy Young consideration. Also probably won't strand as many runners as he did in 2008. Additionally, he missed a month, and we know how Chris Carpenter's vote total was affected by that last season. Lester, on the other hand, does pitch deep into games. And with Halladay now out of the AL, that helps his chances.
  10. a700's dad is/was a wise man.
  11. No lead is insurmountable, but it is highly unlikely you'll mount a comeback if the lead is big enough late in a game - especially against a pitcher who is throwing a no-no. When Lester threw his no-no against the Royals, the Sox were winning 7-0 going into the 9th inning. I find it hard to believe you and Dutchy wouldn't have been upset if Alberto Callaspo (who made the last out) had tried to bunt his way on and succeeded with 2 outs. That would have been a dick move on Callaspo's part. Maybe it's hard for people to understand this unwritten rule if they never played baseball. I don't know. It seems pretty obvious to me.
  12. LeBron really didn't have it tonight. Didn't even try to take over the game. MJ would have at least gone down fighting. I know how he would have responded after a game like this. We'll see what LeBron is made of.
  13. The Sharks are going to be tough to beat. Should be a very good series.
  14. That game Rondo had the other night was unbelievable. This guy really elevates his game in the postseason.
  15. His point was to bait Yankee fans. Looks like he succeeded.
  16. That's odd. He's only owned by 20% or so in Yahoo. I think people are weary of Leake because he's right out of college. No professional experience whatsoever. And he pitches in a bandbox. But I like his 5-pitch arsenal and his feel for pitching.
  17. I feel your pain. I also had Scherzer and decided not to start him against the Guardians, even though they suck. Turns out I was right not to start him because he stunk it up, but had I gone with him instead of Matusz, I would have won in Ks and possibly WHIP. Go figure. I say I "had" him because I dropped the bum and picked up Mike Leake.
  18. You can thank Matusz, Jenks, and Burnett. I thought Matusz would do so-so against all the lefties in the Twins lineup. He was awful. Jenks completely fell apart for an epic BS. I didn't like Burnett against the Sox at Fenway, but I got greedy and wanted to win in Ks. I knew I was sunk when Brian Wilson struck out 5 for a 5 out save. Never thought for a moment I could lose in WHIP. I think coming into the day, it was like 1.11. Three s***** performances later, and it's 1.33. And my woes continue. Another outfielder bites the dust. Cruz, Heyward, and now Braun. Can't catch a break here. FML.
  19. wtf get over yourselves.
  20. Massive overreaction.
  21. Is it my imagination, or does Cervelli look like Rick Moranis from Spaceballs? That helmet looks huge on him!
  22. I really don't know what he was thinking when he tried to get the force out at 2nd when the guy was running on the pitch. Not smart.
