  1. He was slipping during his follow-through.
  2. I like Fuld a lot. Got a chance to see him play last year with the Cubs. Excellent outfielder. But his OBP is nowhere near .400 this year; he's struggled quite a bit. http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=fuld--001sam
  3. I'm just saying you are making an assumption that he can pitch deep into games solely based on the fact that he's in the Red Sox organization and you want it to be true.
  4. You are conflating dominance with the ability to pitch deep into games.
  5. Giving him the benefit of the doubt or making an assumption based on no empirical evidence?
  6. Ryan Lavarnway is still mashing: .292/.390/.526, 13 HRs, 10 doubles, 48 RBIs, 45 runs scored in 246 PAs (57 games)
  7. Dojji, 4 starts in AAA where he's been good, yes, but where he's also averaging just under 4 1/3 innings per start. His WHIP was also unimpressive in AA this year in a much larger sample size. That said, I could see him being used in the bullpen if the Sox need a southpaw.
  8. Sweet!!! Sort of anticlimactic, though, without the horn and the confusion.
  9. I think it's kind of interesting that Jim Riggleman is his skipper, as Riggs also had Kerry Wood when he was a rookie phenom. Hopefully, Strasburg can do what Wood was never able to do: stay healthy.
  10. Wow, what an awesome debut for Strasburg.
  11. I think Kevin Koziol will have an immediate impact for LSU next year, assuming he gets playing time.
  12. I don't think giving up 7.8 H/9 has much to do with luck. The BB/9 is right in line with his career mark? And like I said, the HR rate will go down. This is a silly thread. You sound like Dutchy.
  13. If I were a Yankee fan, I wouldn't be concerned. At all. Once his HR rate goes down, everything will fall into place. Other than the gopher ball (which is an anomaly), his peripherals look fine.
  14. I know Roller has a ton of power. He's a big boy.
  15. Brentz is a nice haul. Ranaudo has a lot of upside.
  16. I would go with Cox as well. I've only heard good things about him.
  17. Ubaldo is waaaay more durable than Wood and Prior. But yeah, Tracy needs to be more mindful of these big pitch counts.
  18. Sad he had to go out like this, but this was a long time coming.
  19. If I were Theo, I'd take Alex Wimmers (assuming he's available) over Ranaudo.
  20. Looks like I might've overpaid for Drew. Rasmus is locked in right now.
  21. Big Buff was a force out there. Filled up the stat sheet and checked guys left and right.
