  1. I mean it sounds like something absolutely awful happened to that girl, but I don’t see any evidence supporting Verdugo directly did anything Or had any involvement.
  2. The Washington Post reported last year about the incident, though it didn't name any of the players involved because no charges were filed. A 17-year-old girl accused one player of posting a video to social media of two other girls beating her. She later alleged that another player -- not Verdugo -- had sexually assaulted during a night of partying at a hotel and that she was raped. The suggestion was then made that Verdugo had not stopped the second assault, though there's no evidence to support he was even aware it had happened. "I have regrets obviously what had transpired that night with certain events," he said. "There was an investigation and like I said, I was cleared of anything wrongdoing, and if I was around for anything that happened, I would've put a stop to it. I would've helped out. I would've done something. There's a lot of mixed reports about it. I just felt like this was a good time to get my truth out and how I am. It sucks, but we're going to work through and keep getting better and we're just going to keep going on."
  3. I’m aware of all those guys, and know Julio Lugo was in trouble shortly before his death for kidnapping, and beating his wife but I have no idea what this underage kidnapping story is or who it’s about
  4. Who is the one who kidnapped an underage girl? I’m not sure I’m familiar with that story
  5. Brantley back to Astros, 1 year $12 million
  6. I don’t know how of all people, Brasier has remained on the team.
  7. This team is going to be awful this season
  8. JD Martinez to dodgers. 1 year $10 million
  9. Swanson got 7 years $177 million
  10. Dansby Swanson to Cubs
  11. Assuming what I think is happening… the GM doesn’t even matter
  12. I have no idea what this team is doing or what the direction is. Alright then
  13. Benintendi to white Sox 5/$75M
  14. With the way the market has been this off season, it won’t be surprising if the numbers start approaching $400 million, especially with how young these stars are getting now.
  15. I work with a few Pirates fans and they’re so done with the franchise. No one involved with management or ownership of that team cares, and every star they get is traded within a few years, and the cycle repeats.
  16. I highly doubt it’s all on him, but he does himself no favors, especially with the public comments he makes.
  17. Soto also already declined $440 from Nationals, granted it was a weird deal with deferred money.
  18. I don’t think so, someone will though.
  19. I’m kind of glad the Mets are spending like this. All of these MLB owners are filthy rich and can afford to spend on talent, and they make a profit every season. Some of them just choose not too, and use the small market argument while putting together sack of s*** team every season, like the Pirates.
  20. Mayer is a guy that headlines a trade for a young star, who is either under team control or is committed to an extension. Like Juan Soto if he agrees to an extension, or someone like Sandy Alcantara. Pablo Lopez is good, but he’s not THAT good. Neither of those are realistic options right now and the team sucks, so there is no reason to trade a top prospect
  21. I'm worried about basically every facet of the team at this point.
  22. To the Mets of course.
  23. I’d be surprised if they signed any of those guys
