  1. Dansby Swanson to Cubs
  2. Assuming what I think is happening… the GM doesn’t even matter
  3. I have no idea what this team is doing or what the direction is. Alright then
  4. Benintendi to white Sox 5/$75M
  5. With the way the market has been this off season, it won’t be surprising if the numbers start approaching $400 million, especially with how young these stars are getting now.
  6. I work with a few Pirates fans and they’re so done with the franchise. No one involved with management or ownership of that team cares, and every star they get is traded within a few years, and the cycle repeats.
  7. I highly doubt it’s all on him, but he does himself no favors, especially with the public comments he makes.
  8. Soto also already declined $440 from Nationals, granted it was a weird deal with deferred money.
  9. I don’t think so, someone will though.
  10. I’m kind of glad the Mets are spending like this. All of these MLB owners are filthy rich and can afford to spend on talent, and they make a profit every season. Some of them just choose not too, and use the small market argument while putting together sack of s*** team every season, like the Pirates.
  11. Mayer is a guy that headlines a trade for a young star, who is either under team control or is committed to an extension. Like Juan Soto if he agrees to an extension, or someone like Sandy Alcantara. Pablo Lopez is good, but he’s not THAT good. Neither of those are realistic options right now and the team sucks, so there is no reason to trade a top prospect
  12. I'm worried about basically every facet of the team at this point.
  13. To the Mets of course.
  14. I’d be surprised if they signed any of those guys
  15. I remember seeing some people saying those guys had “high ceilings”, more so DLR than Webster, but I don’t remember anybody being too excited
  16. I don’t know if this server has enough bandwidth for how many threads Swiharts ghost would attempt to make
  17. That is also the Marlins. They are a cheap team who trades away every star they ever have…
  18. I mean I thought it sucked at the time too, but a lot of people thought getting Jeter added was a “big get”.
  19. Most teams also don’t trade superstar players in their prime, and force a team to take on another massive contract while doing so. There have been notable players traded for big hauls, with even less contract length than Betts. Mark Teixeira was traded for 5 prospects at the deadline and two of them were the Braves top prospects.
  20. Jeter Downs was DFA. This trade gets worse and worse…
  21. While it is hard to compare Japan to MLB, his skill set does appear to be one that should translate to any league/level. I hope he works out, because a guy who is pretty good all around for that contract is a great deal for now and for the future and he could be a key part of the future.
  22. Especially considering Xander was a fan favorite, put his heart and soul into this team and helped this team win two rings, while Story was a guy we signed from another team.
  23. I don’t think expecting a big market team, that charges World Series prices at the stadium to be able to keep their own fan favorite stars makes someone a spoiled fan.
  24. Correa to Giants. 13 years $350 million
