  1. Guess thats the end of this thread LOL
  2. Ummmmm Scaffolds... Hansen didn't pitch against the Marlins....http://mlb.mlb.com/news/boxscore.jsp?gid=2007_03_06_bosmlb_flomlb_1 Burns pitched...
  3. East- Boston Central- Detroit West- LAA WC- Cleveland East- Phillies Central- St. Louis West- LA WC- NYM
  4. As much as I hate to admit to it, he does bring up a good point. But we might make up a few of those if Igwa is pitching every 5th day.
  5. hahahahahahaha! I laughed at that for like 5 minutes!
  6. Ya Lugo sucked, but you guys played him off the bench when he should have been playing everyday. Ya Drew sucked, he only led your club in RBI's. You will miss him when Nomar and Kent go down with there yearly injuries and you have Furcal and Pierre on base and no one of any conswquence to hit them in.
  7. Is Cox in camp? If so how is he doing? One of the guys on foxsports.com thinks he will be up with the ML team around the AS break and he will be there to stay. I thought it sounded too soon, so thats why I was wondering how he was doing.
  8. Playing chicken is fine by me, we have a good enough lineup right now, Helton will just be a plus. We have the advantage right now, but if Helton comes out swinging and COL waits until closer to the trade deadline the advantage goes towards COL.
  9. 45. Clay Buchholz - RHP Red Sox - DOB: 08/14/84 - ETA: Aug. 2008 Previous rankings: mid-2006 #122 9-4, 2.62 ERA, 78 H, 117/29 K/BB in 103 IP for low Single-A Greenville 2-0, 1.13 ERA, 10 H, 23/4 K/BB in 16 IP for Single-A Wilmington Buchholz was supposed to something of a raw product after getting drafted 41st overall out of a Texas junior college in 2005, but he's opened his pro career with a 2.47 ERA and a 185/42 K/BB ratio in 160 1/3 innings. Now it looks like the Red Sox could have him start this year at Double-A, though that's in large part because they don't want him to have to deal with the harsh environment at Lancaster in the California League. Buchholz works comfortably in the low-90s and has four pitches, though his curve lags behind his slider and change. As impressive as his command is, he would seem to have No. 2-starter potential. Didn't he win the award for best Curve ball in the Sox farm sysytem?
  10. Lester's velocity is still below the mid 90's stuff we heard of. He is sitting around 88-90MPH. But I doubt he is 100%
  11. And the only way they get Moss is if OAK will take a 3rd or 4th round pick for him, and if he will restructure his contract. But I am up for trying to get him.
  12. Welker is a younger Wayne Cherbet, he has all those intangables and plays special teams. We gave up a 2nd/7th rounder for him yes but he is more of a proven commodity then a reciever you might get in those rounds. Plus we have 2 1st rounders, so we are already going to be paying big money for those two. Trading the 2nd rounder(usally get decent money not huge) will give us more money to use towards FA or whoever else.
  13. Check out the list ESPN had up a few days back, Ellsbury,Bucholz,Bard,Bowen, Cox where all on the list.
  14. Take it for what its worth. If they eat 40M+ of his salary then I wouldn't mind seeing them ship 1 prospect plus Taveras and Lowell. Helton Meets With Rockies' Owner Take it for what it's worth - Rockies first baseman Todd Helton met with team owner Charlie Monfort on Thursday but declined to comment on the nature of the conversation. In the opinion of Buster Olney: "If the Red Sox and Rockies rekindled trade talks, getting a deal done might take about 3.4 seconds, because there was already a structure in place and both sides would have great reason to be motivated to get this done." And Ken Davidoff of Newsday mentioned today: "The widespread industry belief is that the Red Sox and Rockies will re-ignite trade discussions involving Todd Helton. The two clubs remain stalled in a game of chicken. Boston doesn't want to give up any young players with potential, with only expensive veterans Mike Lowell and Julian Tavarez on the table, and the Rockies don't want to hand over Helton in a straight salary dump." The Red Sox remain in the catbird seat with this potential deal, as Helton is not a strong need for them in any way. They can just sit back and see if the Rockies cave and pay $40-45MM of his contract to get Manny Delcarmen.
  15. Hes under Philly's control until 2011, he will be 31 when he becomes a FA.
  16. Hes not even arbitration eligable yet, thats why the phillies didnt have to pay him s***. I'm with you TGOV, I'd love to have him but he wont hit FA for a few years.
  17. It also mentions that they have pretty much signed Adalius Thomas, the LB from Baltimore. Thats a pretty good sign if they do indeed hammer out the deal, he was a monster last yr, He would probably be a household name if he hadn't been in Ray Lewis's shadow for his hole career. We should get a few decent years out of him.
  18. It was said he started in 04... His power numbers started to climb about that time and have stayed up ever since.....
  19. Correct, thats who I was reffering too. Right now with him not even playing a game yet, I might take him over any WR in the league. He runs a 4.3 40, hes like 6'5" and 240 pounds, and the couldn't even test his vertical because the thing they use to test it only goes to 45 inches and he touched the top of it and said he could go more, but they couldn't find anything to use LOL He is the best player in the Draft but will most likely fall to Tampa because the other three teams are going a different way. If Oakland doesn't sign a QB then the first 4 picks will look like this, 1. OAK- QB Jamrcus Russell( I think he will be a bust) 2. DET- OL Joe Thomas(Solid pick will anchor the line for many yrs) 3. CLE- RB Adrian Peterson 4. TB- Calvin Johnson
  20. MONEY!!!!!! come on guys the only way your gonna get to these guys is by hitting them where it hurts most, and thats in the Wallet.. 1st time- 50 games, 25% of your yearly pay 2nd time- 1 Season Loss, 75% of yearly pay 3rd time - Either ban them for life, or extended seasons, and when or if they come back its league Minimum pay.... This is the only way to get threw to these guys, because for the most part there trying to beef up there numbers by using this stuff so they can get the MONEY!
  21. That just goes to show you HGH doesn't make everyone better... harriston JR sucks, and if hes on HGH and still is just a journeyman utility guy, then he must really suck....
  22. If he turned that down, then f*** him.... Thats a sweet deal for any 40+ yr old pitcher, and if he turned that down then I think its safe to say he had no intentions on resigning, but I don't care, we will see what happens this yr and go with it from there.
