Well having Dice-K going twice in 5 days against the NYY should let us see if he will be affective against better lineups. It still early tho so I won't use these two games as what he will do for his whole career...

I'm not racist at all, im actually the exact opposite. I was just mearly pointing out the obvious. I understand that some not all of these guys come from broken homes, bad areas, low income familys, but it is no excuse for the way they act when they have money. When little old ladies win the lottery in Florida they don't go to the strip club with there posse and tune a couple strippers up while trying to make it rain. Someone needs to let them know this behavior will not be excepted. Further more they should have someone on the team staff or appointed by the league to show these guys how to handle there money so there not broke by the time they get it out of playing, which happens often. Instead of going and throwing thousands of dollars around at a strip club, or going out and buying a 100K diamond knecklace so you can look like Nelly, do something wise with your money. Put it away for your kids future or something. Invest it so when you are done playing you don't have to worry about money for your family for the rest of you lives, and as much as some guys make your kids lives too. Most of these guys do these dumbass things to attract the almighty pussy, but if your NFL/NBA player and you need to to flaunt diamond knecklaces and throw dollar bills around to get laid then you must have no game at all... and the racial overtones in my last post were ment to be kind of a sarcastic deal, sorry I look at it know and it is kind of hard to distinguish it...

Beckett does have a 2 seamer, it sits around 92-94 with his 4 seamer topping out in the hi 90's.....(97+)

I'm glad to see this, even if the players were on my team id want this done. NFL is going to good right now to become another thug league were everyone wants to be a rapper instead of playing football.... Felix is a stud with a huge upside and looks like he might be coming into his own... Seattle has handled him well as far as work load is considered... most teams usally botch this effort.... Felix has the potential to be un-hittable every time out like Pedro or Santanna, Beckett has the upside to be a solid #1 but I'm not sure hes in the same tier as Santanna(present) or Pedro circa 99, but maybe if he gets the change working and develops a splitter or slider or something else he could enter that tier, I'm happy with his work thus far in his first two starts tho, id happily take it over alot of pitchers out there...

With a little more power I think Miguel Cabrerra could work himself into the Manny like talk...

Tough loss for the Sox last night, quality start from Dice-K was encouraging tho, they just ran into a stud pitcher tonight who could probably throw a no-no in any game when hes on. I tip my hat to him an look to the next game and hope Wake has an outing like his last and the Sox don't give it away by not backing him up with some runs. I know its still early, but remember the days of not being shut out until like 2 months into the season? Now we have 2 or so in the first 10 games... not that i'm too worried but if the offense is an issuse for too long I think a deal will be made for someone with a bat, no clue who or what position, I just don't see the FO not pulling the trigger this year to get help....

I also think that his command was shaly when he first came up and thats why he had it dialed down. Now he is getting back to strength and maybe gearing it back up...
