The funny thing is, in the coming years after manny has retired we won't even think or discuss his antics. We will simply look back upon his stunning career and remember all the great hits, catches, and bloopers in the field. It's too bad that someone has to be gone or not playing anymore before you realize how special they really where.
Manny has never talked to the media. He's not a media person, and i don't think he is comfortable talking in public like say ol 7-11 mouth Schilling. He doesn't say anything to the media so that bruises there egos and make them believe Manny doesn't like them, so they inturn turn on him and bash him for stupid things. March 1 is the date at which it is mandatory to show up to ST, aslong as he is there on that date then everything else doesn't matter. Some guys like to show up early, some guys like to show up on time, and some guys hate going to ST( but still show up). For teams and players like the Red Sox and NYY, these guys for the most part are on the job from mid feb. to Oct. Thats 8 long months, so the guy doesn't want to add a couple of weeks to that, no big deal.
My suggestion to everyone is stop listning to these dumass reporters who think they know whats on Manny's mind but have no clue whatsoever, sit back and watch the greatness unfold before your eyes and cheerish the moments you get to watch him play, because the sad fact is he will not always be out in LF forever. And the odds of seeing another player of his type of caliber is not hi, Manny Ramirez's don't fall from the sky everyday, they are few and far between.
