  1. I love how they are doubting Matsuzaka's outing when Pettites line was horrible. But I know what they will say, he had to pitch in the snow, and against those pesky devil rays...
  2. Actually him in the mid 90's isn't surprising. Before he got sick and before he came up to the Sox, in AA all I heard was that he sat around 91-94 and toped out at 96- 97 MPH, maybe hes getting his velocity back.
  3. Jones is playing CF either in NY or Boston next year, Ichiro in Boston if we miss out on Jones, Maybe Hunter but I think he goes to Texas. I still think the only way Manny gets traded is if they already have Jones signed to replace his bat or someone comes up with a couple top notch prospects, 1 SP, 1 top of the line position player plus another young arm.
  4. Youk showed some pop in his bat last night too...
  5. If he prooves he can play and hit in Boston, then we might as well keep him, he's not too expensive, I don't think it be a bad idea to have Jacoby in the minors for a couple more seasons, maybe he can develop a little power.
  6. Beckett- 6 2/3 5 hits 3 runs( 2 ER ) 5K 1BB BP- 2 1/3 innings 3 hits 1 run Sox win 6-4 with Paps getting the save
  7. Personally I don't mind seeing them play a big stretch of games early on. There as rested as there ever going to be at this point in time, so they might as well play often, it probably means they will have more days off later in the season when you really want them.
  8. With two HR's yeasterday, Adam Dunn of the Reds is on pace for 324 HR's for the season, Could he be the new HR King? LOL just a bit of a joke thread, theres always someone who states these ridiculous facts, so I figured id be the guy this time around.......
  9. And now everyone who wanted to sign Schilling after a good ST is going oh s*** maybe he isn't worth it! From what I could tell he pitched like s*** against a very lack luster offense. I am sooooo glad they didn't sign him, but theres still a whole season to prove hes worth it.
  10. If everything breaks right they should get 100 wins, but most seasons don't fall exactly right, I say they don't get bellow 90 wins, theyll be right around 95-96...
  11. SWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Ya Phillips also picked the Yanks to win the division, so if he picked them 1 and us 3 it should be about the opposite...
  13. Schilling wasn't a fireballer when he first came up. He gained velocity on his fastball as he got older/ headed towards his prime, or you could say the roids kicked in like some people think...
  14. Griffey most def from the lefty side...... RH side is pretty tuff to decide....
  15. Schilling- 16-9 4.07 ERA 185 innings Beckett- 18-7 3.98 ERA 230 innings Matsuzaka- 15-8 3.58 ERA 200 innings+ Wakefield- 11-10 4.72 ERA 200 innnings+ Taveras- 5-4 4.91 ERA Lester- 10-6 4.79 ERA Papelbon- 4-2 1.95 ERA 35 saves I've already said I think Beckett is the ace of the staff this season...
  16. I predicted on another thread tha Beckett would be the Ace of the staff this year, I def think he has the #1 ability in him and this year will be his break out yr, then the trade for him won't seem so bad as well....
  17. Not a huge Rome fan, but I don't hate the guy like some, I can def see the persona of being a complete ******* view, the guys on around the horn I like and the pti crew of Wilbon, tony and tony is pretty good entertainment wise...
  18. Just busting your chops Adam123... I should have been busting on the reporter and how slow of a news day it had to have been to make up that garbage...
  19. I'd give them a + or -3 on the HR totals for both... LOL
  20. This thread took a wrong turn down weird avenue LOL
  21. Tek- .250 14 hrs 47 RBI Coco Puff- .273 11 hrs 55 RBI Lowell- .278 12 hrs 65 RBI Pedroia- .273 5 hrs 40 RBI Those are my predictions for the bottom half of the lineup...
