  1. Vlad out? Were did it hit him?
  2. I had a feeling with the wind it might be HR derby...
  3. Jesus, gameday has 27MPH winds out to left.....yikes....
  4. Pedro Cerranno starting in CF? Good Coco is hitting like Stevie Wonder, Cerrano needs playing time( I have decided to no longer acknowledge WMP as WMP but instead as Pedro Cerrano for all of those confused)LOL GO SOX!
  5. I figured as much, but couldn't think of anything else...
  6. Heres a thought, What if the Sox told him they were gonna release him and sign him back so he can have some time in the minors... Just a thought, I'm outta ideas for this guy.... Or starts sacrificing live chickens and give rum to JoBOO...
  7. Wily Mo Pena= Pedro Cerrano From this day forth I shall only recognize WMP as Pedro Cerrano, there has never been a more comparable player:thumbsup:
  8. ESPN commercials are great
  9. Any updates on the weather Bostonians? TY CD, you must have written that right as I was finishing my post LOL
  10. Tavarez on 12 days rest? Maybe he will only give up 4 runs instead of the usual 8 or so hes good for... I'd say the longer he doesn't pitch the better off we will be, trade him to the Yankees, they need some pitching, JT is garbage... I'd rather see Snyder or countless others pitch in the 5 hole. JT just lose's it mentally, and after that it doesn't matter how good hes throwing... Hopefully someone will be desperate enough to want him at the TDL, or we can package him as a extra player in some trade...
  11. Must be something liket hat because he hasn't pitched enough for it to be baseball related LOL
  12. 1. Pedro 2.Clemens 3.Koufax 4.Young 5.W. Johnson
  13. My thoughts are on the same line with Jacko here. The economics will play a big part. Unless you get some big company like Lville to produce a cheaper alternative it will be tuff for most schools to supply bats. Baseball has become a very expensive game to play over the last 10-15 years.
  14. Don't you get TJ from years of wear and tear on the elbow? Since when has Pavano had any kind of extended wear and tear? LOL
  15. I just like giving Jacko a hard time! Now if it was us that had all these pitchers on the DL Jacko would be telling us to hang it up we are finished no matter if it is April or not.
  16. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/6681432 Now 3/5 of the NYY starting rotaion is sitting on the DL, Wang will be back before the other two, With all these injuries I guess we will see how deep the pitching staff is. BP is going to get burned up ealry this season, and Jacko I hate to keep score, but here are a couple more guys you said wouldn't see the DL and they landed on it... But NY got a good enough offense to keep games within reach.
  17. I don't get to see alot of games but a buddy of mine here in Holland had the game on MLBTV and I caught the game, here are some things I noticed during the game... When we work counts, we score runs( plus LAA pitcher was extremely wild) Lugo looks to be settling in nicely... Hinske plays a decent 1B and seems to be an above AVG. bench player... Ortiz has been struggling to starts off but is lining it up pretty good the last couple of games... Manny is struggling, but he always does, then he goes on a rampage for about 6 weeks where he hits .500 Drew plays a very nice RF, and is a very nice complementary pieace to our lineup, its nice that if Papi and Manny go down theres still someone to hit the ball... Lowell is still fantastic with the glove... Tek looks absolutely lost at the plate... Coco had a couple solid hits last night that were outs, but he hit them hard, so maybe there is hope.... Pedroia looks like a 12 yr old, did you see when he was up to bat and Molina was squatting and his head was still up to Pedroias shoulders? But he does look to have a grasp of the strike zone and works the count, that and a decent Defense and thats pretty much all you can ask of him... Schilling was dealing last night and I hope he keeps it up all season and doesn't sputter out towards the end... Donnely is occasionaly wild but looks like someone who will be dependable atleast for the most part this year...
  18. Go Sox!!!!!!!! Schilling- 7 1/3 innings, 5 hits 2 runs 1BB 6K Carrasco- 62/3 innings, 7 hits 3 runs 3BB 3K Sox win 4-3 with Paps saving it in the 9th!!!!!!!!
  19. Leaning on Pettite to put up more innings will have him on the DL by June... Looks like Hughes could be coming up, I don't know what other options they have if these injurys turn out to be more then just mild, and considering its Pavano and Mussina who knows how long they will be out... Jack I rember all that pitching depth you were saying the Yankees had in ST, now I guess we will get to see that depth.
  20. I have him on my fantasy, I hope he doesn't get hurt because of it. I imagine his pitch count must have been fairly low for 9 innings and thats why he was allowed to go out for the 10th.
  21. Ya its all you damn Yankees fault Jacko!
