  1. I doubt it. They will need to lose a full time bat before they become interested in Lowell again, IMO.
  2. AL East Boston NYY NYM Nationals AL West Mariners Angels Rockies Athletics AL South Rays Rangers Royals Diamondbacks AL North Twins Tigers White Sox Guardians NL East Phillies Blue Jays Orioles Pirates NL West Dodgers Giants Padres Expansion(Portland) NL North Cubs Brewers Reds Cardinals NL South Braves Marlins Diamondbacks Expansion(Carolina/New Orleans/Dallas) That's the best I can do lol
  3. I can see the Sox giving him 2/20 if he continues at his current play. They always could slide him over to LF if need be. Probably be the best defensive LF in awhile lol.
  4. That's and absolute steal IMO. I wish the Sox had gotten in on that. They could have made Hall stricly a 5th OF, and had Lopez backing up the IF.
  5. He's an injury risk IMO. So like Lowell, the less time he see's, the more likely he is to stay healthy over the course of a full season. Thus making him a more useful player. He could get a good number of AB's backing up 3/4 of the IF.
  6. I've always felt Lowrie was best suited for a super utility role. I know he wants to be on the opening day roster, but he will be in AAA. Because he needs the AB's and needs to prove he can handle a full season before he is back in Boston. it will do him no good to come and sit on the bench now. He needs to play. I think he had a good shot at being the utility guy opening day of the 2011 season.
  7. It does when teams like Texas were looking to acquire him for offensive purposes.
  8. IMO the Pats biggest need is a legit pass rusher. I would like to see them move up if need be to get one if possible. Derrick Morgan would be a pretty big leap up. Brandon Graham might be an interesting player. Dunlap could fall to NE at #22(maybe). He's got great skills, but has maturity/work ethic issues. But if BB can't motivate him, no one will. But I wouldn't mind him at pick 22. The D could use some help at LB and secondary as well. The offense needs to do something at RB and WR. I think the team will be in good shape if they can accomplish that and sign Brady to an extension.
  9. There should be no rush to sign Martinez, it's not the be all end all to get it done before the season starts. They have all season to lay the groundwork, and 2 weeks at the end of the season to hammer it out if need be. Unless Martinez will except some insanely friendly deal or something like that, they should wait and see how the Mauer negotiations go.
  10. This brings up something I have been meaning to ask everyone. What does everyone think it will take to sign Beckett/Lee? Is it a given Lee will come cheaper then Beckett as Ray10 alluded to? What about years?
  11. His thumb is the reason he's not a Ranger right now, not his hip.
  12. Not to knit pick, but it was #46 that he used to wear.
  13. I agree Lowell with a full off season of training and not rehabbing could regain a good majority of his range. But to think he could do it over a full season would be extremely optimistic. If he can handle(physically and mentally) playing 3B 1 or twice a week, while DHing a couple times and coming off the bench late to pinch hit, then I'm fine with keeping him around. The Sox have enough question marks to warrant keeping him around for depth purposes for the first couple months of the season. Then when June-July rolls around, re-evaluate the situation.
  14. Says the guy that won't credit any Sox prospect that hasn't touched AA The rest of your post and response on Harper are fair though.
  15. I could get on board with that. even though Sproles isn't the complete answer to the Pats RB problems. But having a skillful CB liks Cromartie would be nice. I'm not sure of the reason, but I just have a feeling LT will be in NE next year.
  16. He's going to be too expensive IMO. I think they might add their 1st round+ 1 of the 2nd round picks and move up to possibly get a pass rusher. BTW, I like that trade for TB. Suh is a monster. Any word yet if the trade is a sure thing?
  17. The Patriots need to bolster their running game. With LT and Westbrook available, I wonder if they take a chance on either of them. This should be a interesting off season with the uncapped year and pending lock out possibility.
  18. I think Beltre put's up surprising numbers this season(if healthy). Lowell will be with the team for a little while at least IMO. He has to prove he's healthy first and foremost before any team trades for him. And the Sox need to be sure Beltre and Youk look good to go before sending a viable back plan packing.
  19. Hadagone is a product of the Sox farm system, 5-4 :harhar:
