  1. Just to put this out there, but fangraphs projects Bay to have a value of 13.8M next season. While they value Cameron at 15.7M. Also Cameron was more valuable in 2009, 19.4M-15.7M for Bay. The Sox are losing a little bit of offensive, gaining a good amount of defense and saving like 45M in the process. There's the nuts and bolts of it.
  2. Good riddance BTW. I was never a big fan.
  3. Of course you wouldn't Pretty sure a700 agree with you though
  4. I don't see great things coming out of Vasquez this season. Probably average, but that's ok for the #4 spot. I will give him a little slack because he was injured he last tour through NY,
  5. I think he is alluding to the fact the WS would have to go through NY in the scenario we are discussing(not caring about winning the division).
  6. Yes to an extent. Maybe with the crowd. I don't believe it to be the be all end all though. The away team has the same capability to taking the same advantages of the home team as far as how the park plays.
  7. Oh I know. I was just pointing out that the Yanks will spend 25-30M( V according to Jacko's estimates, which seem reasonable) to win the division by a few games. While the Sox will spend 25-30M less and still have the same exact chances of winning the WS(assuming the win the WC, which they would be the favorites for IMO(if healthy)).
  8. I really couldn't agree more with you. Although I think this is Papi's last season in Boston regardless IMO. If he sucks he's gone. If he has a decent or a monster season, I don't see him taking another "hometown discount" so to speak". He's going to want 2 yeas minimum, and I don't think the Sox will want to go more the one guaranteed with a 2nd year option. But that's just how I see it. I admit I could be way off.
  9. Hence the "pwnage" comment Not sure what else to call it when your argument is torn down brick by brick :dunno:
  10. For what it's worth.
  11. pwnage of the utmost extent.
  12. Seems like an odd deal for both sides. I would have thought ATL could have gotten a better package. And it seems odd to bring back Javier for a 2nd go around after how the last one ended. I will admit he did have arm issues and that could have been the cause of some of his problems. This is Melky's chance to prove all the doubters wrong. I think he get's exposed IMO.
  13. With ATL shedding 11.5M in the Vasquez trade, anyone think they are serious contenders for Bay or Holliday now? It would suck if the get Bay from a Red Sox stand point because of the Draft pick compensation. They already have ATL's 1st rounder. I hope the y make a huge push for Holliday and St. Louis ends up going after Bay. Or worst case scenario NY is making room for Holliday/Bay.
  14. Hmmm not a salary dump? JJ? That would not be good. Who else has been rumored to be possibly available? I don't see the Cubs moving Zambrano.
  15. I think there's a good chance they go after Dunn to be the DH next off season. Just seems like a good fit.
  16. Please be Lowe LOL
  17. Too kind Forgot about the joke smiley though
  18. But Rhetever do you mean? :joke:
