  1. If it takes 8 years 180M, none. If he will sign for considerably less, maybe. But whoever loses out on Lee will be desperate, so I don't see him getting less the Werth, and that might even be to much.
  2. I stand corrected
  3. Yes, they would lose the 1st rounder for V-Mart.
  4. Contrary to popular belief, Theo does indeed have a set of balls And again shows that Cashman's first name should be Brianna.
  5. 38 year old Lee making 20M+, doh! I'll pass on Lee. Maybe if it was 5 years and they where trading Lackey.
  6. IF they brought back Beltre, he would be playing 3B. Youk would be the guy heading to LF. Beltre would be like Ray Lewis in the OF. He would jut crush anyone who got close to him. I'm fairly sure Ellsbury would request a trade as well
  7. Darek Braunecker. But I agree, it is a Boras tactic in play.
  8. How did Beltran get in the conversation?
  9. NWIH the Sox offered him 7 year . This could be a plant by the Agent to get someone to cough up a few million extra n their 6 year offers.
  10. Hmm kind of forgot about them Detroit makes sense as well.
  11. Ok so, not the Yanks, Nats and the Rangers started at 4. There appears to be a dark horse candidate in the running.
  12. If the Nats asking price for Willingham doesn't come down, and a few other things don't align, would Matt Diaz be a decent option for LF next season? I mean he's at least average right? And really they could get by with average. He probably won't cost much and if he doesn't pan out thy could add someone at the deadline for an offensive boost. There is always a few good OF's that can be had at the TDL.
  13. Wow, that's got to be the Yankees right?
  14. Let the ensuing a700 lunch referencing meltdown begin. Pretty sure that he loves the fact the Red Sox have won 2 WS in recent years. But he hates the type of person Theo is and it burns his ass that a guy like Theo finally turned the franchise around. It's why he jumps at each and every opportunity to kill Theo no matter the reason. He won't be happy until they win a WS under someone else watchful eye, at which time he will belittle everything Theo accomplished in his time with the Red Sox. He's almost become as predictable as Jacko. At least Jacko accepts it and has shown an ability to even have some fun with it. I agree with your assessment 100%
  15. Also, I don't do this often, this is probably the 3rd time since I have been part of the board. But I sent an e-mail to my friend that works in the Nats FO(He's no one of note, fairly low on the ladder, but in the FO operations non the less) and his response to my question about Lee was " believe the hype, they are really trying to land Lee". This doesn't mean they will sign him by any means, but their interest is real and not just kicking the tires IMO. Take it how you want And he wouldn't respond to my Willingham to Boston theory
