Yes, but mot teams plan for more then just one season. Lee and Straburg(if both are healthy) could be the 1-2 punch for 5 of the ext 6 seasons. It would also help take some pressure off of Strasburg. The Nats have plenty of money and it looks like they want to spend it(they have wanted to spend for the last couple seasons, just couldn't get anyone to bite). They have the richest owner in sports from what I recall. They might be one teams that can possibly match or come close to a Yankees offer IMO. This could get interesting

They where my Dark Horse team to sign him. Them throwing money at Werth signals they are willing to spend to become a contender. It might be enough to persuade Lee. Lee going to the Nats is best case scenario IMO.

I like Beltran idea. Less $ then Werth and only 1 year. I think if he performed well next season they could possibly extend him and he could fill in at DH and play some OF.
