  1. Abroo-hoo goes deep. Beltre gets a triple on Hunter's idiocy
  2. Yankees win again. Gotta say, for a team as hot as Cleveland was, Javy really doused the flames. He's on pace for 170-180IP and 140 or so K's with an ERA in the mid 4's. Not too bad for a guy who started out as badly as he did
  3. He's kinda like an abused dog. He gets kicked in the teeth, then wags his tail and runs right back to his owner for another swift kick
  4. He was walking in a boot, so he wasnt completely immobilized. But when you are a prime athlete and dont run for a month, there will be some atrophy. I know he doesnt want to rehab, but it is best for him to take a bit longer.
  5. Sterling's call annoys me a bit more and Waldman just makes me want to claw out my inner ear
  6. BTW, I want to kick in that damn drum
  7. I am solely talking about calling a game from a correctness perspective. Kay is annoying, pompous, douchey etc. I cannot stand him. If I had to choose between Waldman, Sterling and Kay, I'd garrotte myself and avoid the choice
  8. Westbrook has it working today. It doesnt help that we didnt work the pitch count well
  9. Ken Singleton is the YES network's answer to equal opportunity. Cone, Flaherty, O'Neill and even Kay are worlds better
  10. Money to Santana there. He toyed with the rookie.
  11. http://www.weei.com/sports/boston/this-just-in/2129115/red-sox-notes-pedroia-runs Pedroia ran today. Sounds like the docs are pleased but Pedroia isnt. He isnt ready yet
  12. Can we ever score for this guy, f***!
  13. Javy has been really good today man. You gotta drop the paranoia man. BTW, I bet Jeter gets a 12-13 mil a yr offer
  14. Granderson looked safe. Umpire gaffe #2
  15. Yanks got porked there on ARod's liner. Should be 1st and 2nd with 1 out. Instead, it's an inning ending DP
  16. I have a feeling that the 2011 Yankees will feature a rotation of... 1. Sabathia 2. Lee 3. Burnett 4. Hughes 5. Nova
  17. that's what I meant. He hit it a few times last yr
  18. Control of a 97mph fastball is a lot less crucial than control of a 93mph fastball. He'll do fine in the pen
  19. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2010/07/elias-rankings-update-2.html Beltre is now type A
  20. example, I made the first comment before the NYP article came out. The post is typically full of drivel, but they made some good points about the payroll. Now that George is gone, his sons will probably try to stabilize and then lower payroll. With Mariano looking at about the same salary and Jeter looking at a small pay cut, the Yankees arent gonna save much there. In the rotation, you have Pettitte and Vazquez making $23 million this yr, which sounds like what it's gonna take to sign Lee. So, unfortunately, I was wrong in my initial statement
  21. Well, if you are the one dishing out the fails, then maybe I should be flattered? You made a post. I countered it. Then you made a retort acknowledging that you didnt read my post. I could have agreed with you. I could have given you a different take. I could have told you that I was shedding my Yankee fandom for a membership with the long suffering Pittsburgh Pirates. You dont know, you didnt read it. Hence, how can we have a useful conversation about my post when it wasnt read. So, therefore, the point is moot here.
