    We're right back to where we began. Tex, Youk, and Grandy out. Tex should just have the surgery and be done with it. Youk is done in a Yankee uniform

    It is going to be insanely difficult for them to suspend a player without a positive test. And even though they fired an arbiter, MLB seems to forget the point of arbitration. It is to have a completely neutral party make the final decision of a disagreement. The fact that they fired one and hired another shouldn't change the fact that the arbiter is supposed to be neutral

    Sanchez is the top guy. I still think Austin is the #2 with Williams, Banuelos, and Ramirez topping out the top 5. The only time I'd thrust a draftee into the top 5 without any experience, IMO, is one who is a consensus top 10 pick, like Cole was.

    Judge wants overslot, the Yankees are offering slot. This is going to go down to the wire. If he signs, we get a big time talent that shouldn't have fallen to us. If he doesn't, we get a pick in the comp round next yr in what is supposed to be a deeper draft (believe that if you will). We should not offer overslot for him The other thing is, he is betting on improving his draft stock. Lets say he does that, but the deeper draft sees him drafted in the mid 20s. What team in their right mind is going to offer a college senior that kind of coin? Appel is a special situation, I doubt the same can be said of Judge, and he'd lose most negotiating leverage. As we said before, the only option then would be Indy ball. He's better off signing, the Yankees aren't lowballing him

    It wasn't that much of a surprise. I expected overslot, but it'd be nearly impossible to go over a million overslot when their biggest "savings" pic was first rounder Ball, who will likely get full slot value. Expect the same with us and Clarkin

    Its not just the sucking ass. It's knowing they suck ass, expecting them to suck ass, and seeing those expectations meet reality. It also blows to watch the pitching work their asses off and lose out. And SR, I didn't articulate it enough. I don't just watch the game for the long balls. But as a fan of a team, you want to see them put up a fight. They look dead out there, defeated before they step in the box. That is showing in their performance. I mean, how the f*** does your 3-6 go 0-24 in a game that finished with Jesse Chavez, a career AAAA player throwing 6 shutout innings?

    Have you watched them lately? They are f***ing boring. Gardner and Ichiro aren't steal bags. Nobody is really hitting long balls. And it feels like we are watching place holders in the lineup. They are boring as f*** and I think the entire fan base was waiting for the bloom to come off the rose and hope that it would last long enough for the band to come back together.

    BTW, Axisa is spot on with one thing. The games are almost unwatchable. And this is from a team supposedly in the playoff hunt. The at bats are painful to watch and the guys wearing the uniform are boring. Nothing like watching Cano and Gardner hit the ball all over the field and the other 7 guys just sucking ass around them. Also, the anti-climactic nature of the ABs tonight were really bad. You knew that Hafner was striking out. You knew Tex wasn't hitting in the clutch. You knew Youk was dead meat. It wasn't a surprise when they sucked in the clutch, it has become expected.

    They gotta do something. Jeter wont be back for 6 weeks, who knows when the Roided One will be back and Grandy should be back in 3-4 weeks. But the bloom is way off the rose and we need a jolt. I hope we see some shakeups here. I want to see Zoilo Almonte and Ronny Mustelier up here. These guys really cannot be any worse.
