  1. Most of the time, you want to get the starter out of the game and see the pen. Currently, the starter is your best bet to hammer, so you kinda don't want to run up his pitch count
  2. Ells out with hand pain, although they say it isn't serious. Pineda halted his simulated game with a lat strain.
  3. Yeah, we have good D in LF and CF and good D at 1B and C. Beltran is a nightmare in RF. Jeter is a statue, Roberts has been bad at 2b surprisingly, Johnson hasn't been bad, Solarte has been rough.
  4. It's Eric Bedard. You should win so long as your pitching staff doesn't spit the bit
  5. As bad as Nava was, he posted a positive UZR/150 this yr in the outfield. Sizemore has been the killer, thus far nearly -40UZR throughout the OF, and guess what? He's still there!
  6. Pedey did hit over .300 with a torn thumb ligament that is required for hand integrity.
  7. Looking at fangraphs, your statement is incorrect. They have the sox as the 3rd worst team in baseball in defense. They have the Yankees at #21, obviously below average, but better than Boston. Last yr, sox were #17 in baseball. Boagerts' -15.3UZR/150 isn't helping that. Just for comparison, Jeter is at -2.9.
  8. I agree y228. Thing is, we were handled by Richards, but we're able to get enough off him to win. The Halos are good this yr. Taking 2 if 3 when the O isn't hitting is impressive. Tanaka showed a lot last nught. Against an elite offense without his best stuff, he was able to K 11 batters and work around some uncharacteristic wildness
  9. What the f***? He went? How many times does he need to strike these guys out?
  10. And the ump f***ed KRob on that curve. He had Ianetta struck out
  11. Cmon KRob. Close this s***
  12. Dustin is 30 and signed for a long time. He's gonna be retired in about 8-10 yrs. You don't have a guy play out of position past their arbitration years on a presumed big time contract while you wait. Betts doesn't have the arm for 3b nor the range for SS. He's a 2b and hence, he's redundant in this system
  13. I do remember. But that was also when they didn't go out of their way to buy the clog the bases, slogging hitters that they have now.
  14. Cmon McCann. Just a flyout and we can win this!
  15. Warren with 1.2IP of nasty relief. We need a run so we can run KRob out there
  16. We don't exactly have the most veteran of crews either. Although I am impressed with the work thus far on this young season
  17. He's definitely on the trade market. My bet is he is the next guy dealt for pitching at the deadline
  18. Battle of the pens now
  19. 6.1IP 5H 2ER 4BB 11K. Pretty solid line in the end, even though he didn't have it today. He still shut down the best offense in baseball (thus far) without good fastball velocity or command. This kid is the goods
  20. Why the f*** is Tanaka in there for the 7th? He's over 100 pitches
  21. This is the first game where he is missing up. He's all over the place with the heat today. He's relied on the split big time today. His first 4 starts, he has had phenomenal FB command. These games happen. And he actually has still been good. 10K through 6IP, but the 4 walks and 4 hits are hurting him
  22. His FB tops out at 95. He doesn't have the high end fastball and really has no fastball location right now.
