  1. The Yankee media has been saying the same about Pineda. If he gives is 180 strong innings this yr, he's probably dealt. When it comes to pitching, especially pitchers with injury histories, it's all about buying low and selling high
  2. I think what people are pointing out is that we only have to find a new starter for one game because of off days. Pineda will be pitching on May 5, so it's not that big of a deal
  3. I've seen his last start vs Boston and his start vs Toronto. I didn't remember seeing so much movement. It's a good thing, cause he's actually got a good two seamer. The one thing he must do is slow down the change, though. If you're throwing 88-89 with a 4 seamer and 86-87 with the 2 seamer, you can't be throwing 83-84 with the change.
  4. Ump has opened up the zone, lol
  5. I thought EEI had a good perspective of the first game of the series. They said it looked like the Bobby Valentine era without Bobby Valentine. Sloppy game with garbage all around. Well, tonight was even worse. Dead from the start
  6. You don't play a bad team until May 13th against the Twins. Youre gonna have to step up vs mediocre or better competition
  7. 10-2 thanks to Ells. Not sure why they are burning Breslow right now.
  8. The throat has been crushed. Solarte with 4RBI tonight
  9. error #5. I am watching right now Station!
  10. CC was very good tonight. Without his velo, he has to work a little harder, but 8K and only 6 baserunners in 6IP is impressive. Good game big man. Hold this pen!
  11. So did Pedro, but when the emotions calm a little, you have to admit that they were all otherworldly talents who, without them, you wouldn't have won the titles you did.
  12. The Yankees ERA issue is attributed to 3 games only. In their 3 worst outings, they allowed 41 runs. The sox have only one game this yr where they allowed 10 runs, but they have allowed 5 or more runs 8 times thus far. The Yankees OTOH, have allowed 5 or more runs 6 times. They've allowed 6 or more only 4 times, whereas the sox have allowed 6 or more 8 times as well
  13. He has to slow his changeup down. He's sitting 88mph with the heat tonight, but 83-84 with the change
  14. Manny, Pedro, and Ortiz should have their numbers retired
  15. I don't give two shits about the NBA or NHL. But I do care, a lot, that the sports airwaves are dominated by it right now. Hence, I hope the Bruins get eliminated soon
  16. The leadoff walk with a 7 run lead is inexcuseable
  17. Jon Lester has pitched exceedingly well
  18. The guy threw 323.3IP the last 2 seasons with 306K. He's got stuff, he's still young. There is no chance you let him walk
  19. What part of you cannot send him to the minors are you guys missing? If you "send him down", he needs to be passed through waivers, and he will not make it through
  20. CC has to learn how to pitch with a f***ing lead!
  21. Jeter frozen on a pitch down the middle, thigh high. Cmon man. STEP ON THE THROAT!!!
  22. That should be error #4 of the game for the red sox on JBJ.
  23. I look like a clairvoyant here
