  1. Alas, no surprise tonight. Hope Lackey has another good game up his sleeve tomorrow.
  2. I'd also like an explanation from ESPN.com on how the wind at the Trop is at -1 MPH.
  3. He's hitting .251. Are you happy with Salty?
  4. Not surprised at all by this outcome. It's time for Beckett and Lester to be back and healthy. Oh well, try the reverse lock again tomorrow.
  5. The pitching matchups for the next two games are pretty awful for the Sox (Price-Miller; Shields-Lackey). I'd be very happy with splitting those.
  6. Do they usually have DHs when the ASG is in an NL park?
  7. This game is such a s*** show.
  8. Great job by Aceves to escape it. Final line for Weiland: 4+ IP, 8 H, 6 ER, 2 BB, 2 K (ND).
  9. Neither of those were on purpose. Gotta use discretion there. Umpires haven't exactly been the most popular people on the field this year.
  10. Wow, what an absolutely miserable decision by the umpire. Shame on him.
  11. My bad, didn't realize he was so low in pitches.
  12. Great pitching matchup today. Only run scored was on an errant pickoff throw. Time for Mariano.
  13. Hope Solo is such an awesome name. I actually can't get over it.
  14. Stop fighting, you guys. Tie game. Guthrie coming in for long relief. Weird.
  15. Are they gone for good? Not excited to have to go back to listening to them in September for 7 games. These pitchers are well matched.
  16. Well at least Atkins sucks too. This one may total 20+ runs. And then Scutaro takes it easy and allows another run. The inning continues.
  17. And now Weiland will get hammered...
  18. Let's not repeat last night's 1st inning result, big guy.
  19. Nice inning for Weiland. No hard hit balls at all. 12 pitches, 8 strikes. Fastball around 94. Get him some runs.
  20. Would be nice to go into the break riding in a 6 game streak. Also can't wait to see Weiland.
  21. Bautista has fewer hits because he walks an assload. He still has a .330 BA. His OPS is over .100 points higher than anyone else in the AL. An argument based primarily on the counting stat of hits and semantics is hardly an argument. I love Gonzo, but Bautista has been unreal this year. But it seems like we agree to disagree, so we can just move on.
  22. 4 RISP left on through 3. Can't have that with Lackey pitching.
  23. Hey, a scoreless inning for Lackey. Time to pound Simon.
