  1. Win the baseball game! I will miss all of this one too, unfortunately. Lester is going to have to come up big. Also stop being immature, etc.
  2. On the game: I barely saw any of it. I was at a restaurant with my family and caught some of it out of the corner of my eye. Missed the Lackey RBI, but did see the Ibanez HR. For once Lackey was not to blame. His best start since April. Unfortunately, the offense has gone ice cold. On the thread: Holy s*** you guys are unbelievable. Grow up.
  3. Can't wait to read this thread...
  4. I don't consider a year that the Sox miss the playoffs to ever be a success. Last year was not fun.
  5. For a June game, this is pretty big.
  6. Bummer. Not a fun game to watch. Hope Lackey can pull a quality start out of his ass tomorrow and they can get to Worley.
  7. Very hard for me to see a big move by the Sox this summer. I think they'll try to get a righty OF and a bullpen piece, as somebody said earlier. Beltran/Reyes/Hanley would absolutely stun me. EDIT: Peter Gammons' cynical tweet: "Red Sox cannot add payroll, which means with RF washout and McDonald/Cameron 0 production, they can take no $. Dream Jeff Baker. period."
  8. McDonald and Cameron's averages put together still make a poor player.
  9. "f*** bunting, I want to give two half-hearted bunt attempts and then GIDP."
  10. Cliff Lee is still really good.
  11. Cliff Lee is really good.
  12. Everybody try to keep calm. It's the 4th inning in a June game. It's gonna be way worse in October, so keep your s*** together.
  13. The lineup sucks. I will actually try to enjoy the game despite that.
  14. Lester comparisons are way early. But right now he looks to be a better bottom of the rotation starter than what they had. And don't make this personal. This is a good baseball discussion if you keep it that way.
  15. Are you just bumping threads in which you were correct? That's fun.
  16. Hopefully Crawford can return next weekend: http://www.projo.com/redsox/content/projo-20110627-red-sox-journal-crawford.3fc2c1ba6.html
  17. Ahh, okay. I wasn't paying close attention, I just saw he hadn't allowed any hits.
  18. Woo Talksox servers. Mess of a game today, but it's a win.
  19. Don't make this interesting, Pap. Also, 6 total errors for both teams. Yikes.
  20. He's definitely looked good. I was really impressed with his first start up until the Hudson HR, but even with that it was a solid start. Quality start today despite poor defense. It is against two crappy NL offenses, so I'll take it with a grain of salt. Next start is against the Astros, so it doesn't get any harder. Overall though, definitely happier with Miller than with Matsuzaka. No question.
