    The catcher just landed right on Youkilis' ankle. That's not good. It's clearly been bothering him for a while now; wouldn't be surprised to see a DL stint or at least a couple games off.

    For the other Sox, Paul Konerko is an enormous snub. .317/.387/.567, on pace for 40+ HR. Also Andrew McCutchen should have made it, among others.

    You could actually make a case that Cano deserves the starting spot. He has the highest OPS of any AL 2B. I would probably go with either Cano or Ben Zobrist.

    I'm looking forward to watching Lyles pitch, as he was the top Astros prospect coming into 2011, and BA ranked him 42nd overall. But the Sox should pound him anyway, and Beckett should bounce back from his worst game of the year. Win, sweep, go home.

    I'd delete this, but BPEF did say he wouldn't be on. If he happens to come back, I'll delete it but if not, this will have to stand. If the Sox lose, though, Thunder isn't close to the worst of the wrath you'll receive.
