    Also the most wins in the AL. If the Guardians didn't play in the worst division in baseball, they wouldn't be sniffing a playoff spot. They're probably the 8th best team in the AL this year.

    Well I'm glad they did something, but I'm certainly not sold on Bedard. He was awesome until going on the DL in June, and was terrible in his first start back. Though if he's healthy, he's at least better than Miller.

    Originally I didn't think they'd make a move, but with Buchholz's injury news getting worse, I thought they would. Now I just have no idea.

    The Rangers got Mike Adams and Koji Uehara this weekend. What an absolutely lethal bullpen.

    That doesn't surprise me. So if the Sox don't add a starter, Lackey is a lock to be in the playoff rotation, with perhaps a #4 of Wakefield/Miller. That's brutal.

    Wow, this was a really busy day for trades. And not even the deadline. I was warming on the idea of the Sox getting Harden, and then both MSU and my roommate texted me saying the deal was off. I'd still like to get another starter, especially if Buchholz's return is looking negative. I like Harden more than Bedard, and with Kuroda off the market I'm not sure what else there is. Anyway, tomorrow should be interesting.
