  1. Wily definitely needs to learn to stop swinging at EVERYTHING!
  2. Oh, okay. Thanks. I just assumed that they had the field tarped.
  3. Wily doesn't walk much, so I would be surprised to see a walk. Stranger things have happened though. Hopefully I will have to update my sig.
  4. If it is going to stop raining by 6 pm, why can't they play it? Just make it a 7 pm start like usual, instead of the 4:30 start.
  5. I agree. I think Wily Mo will get the start against pretty all lefties, but if something like last night (where a righty starts and then a lefty comes in later) then Tito will just keep Trot in.
  6. The Sox aren't in the business of grooming players, they are in the business of winning games. Grooming is what the minors are for. If Trot gives us a better chance of winning than Pena, then play him. Edit: Grammatical errors
  7. Looks like he will only be out 6-8 weeks now. Sorry, don't have a link but I saw it on Foxsports.
  8. Nomar is going through what Griffey went through during his first 3-4 years in Cincy. Griffey has kinda managed to turn it around, though he defintely isn't the same player as when he was in Seattle.
  9. a little off-topic, but the other night on "Lost" one of the characters (Sawyer) made a comment about starting a conveince store on the island and wondered if this Middle Eastern guy on the show (Sayid) was available to work at it. Another pretty racist-type comment, especially for a network TV show.
  10. They had some major injury problems last year though. Magglio and Guillen were hurt most of the year (especially at the beginning) and once they got back Bonderman and Dmitri Young were hurt. Trammell was a terrible manager too, and the team had gave up by August/September.
  11. Living here in Michigan, I follow the Tigers pretty closely. It is nice that they might be decent, it was pretty embarrassing a few years ago when they lost like a 118 games. If their pitching holds up (mostly bullpen concerns and all the young pitchers they have), they will be a team to be reckoned with, since they obviously have a good offense.
  12. ever think he might be adopted asswipe?
  13. welcome aboard!
  14. welcome aboard!
  15. No retort, Riverman?
  16. The offense will come around, I don't think we need to worry too much about that. Man-Ram (sorry) will be on track.
  17. Since when does Big Papi run on a treadmill?
  18. I think we should keep giving Foulke a chance in at least a couple more non-pressure 9th inning games, like opening day was. Doesn't look good for him though, and Paps looked awesome!
  19. I understand it was one start, but you can either catch a knuckleball or you can't, and apparently Bard cannot. I mean, he had all spring to work with Wake.
  20. Bard did seem to have a difficult time last night though. Plus he apparently has no bat.
  21. welcome aboard!
  22. There is no way Nomar is a HOFer. Griffey was dominant for an entire decade, Nomar was only great for a 4-5 years.
