  1. Clemens with his 3rd grade Texas education had the ability to make Pedro and Manny sound like John Houseman with his incredible butchering of the English language..He gagged in essentially every big game he pitched in.He pimped his way out of Boston and Toronto and f***ed Dray McClain in the ass to get back into pinstripes and then sucked in his last tour of the American League. He had an affair with a 15 yr old girl, threw his wife under the bus and lied about his teamates. The man is just so very short in character I could give a f*** less if he had stomach cancer after what he did to the game, his teamates, his family, the underage girl,Brian Mac and the city of Boston. He is nothing short of a disgraceful human being and it is just if he suffers for the rest of his pathetic life. What do his sons Kory Katy Kotex and Katona think after reading about their mother with her ass in the air on his bed getting injected by the pool boy?? Id shoot myself before disgracing the mother of my children, I thought these backward ass country f*** incest producing douchbags had honor? I guess if Texans were all that then Corkey Bush wouldve fought in Vietnam as opposed to sitting it out in the National Guards...**********s, the both of them... If i owned Hell and Texas I'd rent out Texas Confederate General Longstreet
  2. Steve Lomasney says hello, another cant miss catcher who I dont think made it to Pawtucket. Id rather pay for a sure thing than guess on a minor leaguer, the problem of course is availability.
  3. Good to see Tex break the mendoza line just in time for nick swishers splash down to earth. Damon has been that teams mvp and if arod is anything near decent theyre going to compete. Pitching and defense is the problem and it hasnt been solved,if wang comes back ok they'll be in the hunt if he dont they're playing for 3rd place.
  4. Teks got a 2 year deal right? Catching is the best route into the majors if you can hit a little bit, nobody seems to be able to do both with a lot of success anymore... If we can keep tek under 125 games he will be ok for next year too but after that we got nothing.
  5. Alls it takes is a bad inning against halliday, crooked #s get you L's against that guy. Burnett has been solvable since we jammed 8 up his ass but Sabby has warmed up a bit and pitched much better. They still eat it and I suspect Joe Girardi will be looking for a job once Tampa catches em
  6. Who is going to take Ortiz for Adam Dunn? Adam Dunn makes Rob Deere look like a contact hitter. The power #s are impressive in that little league field he owned in Cincinatti,40/100 is great but can he hit the ball into the right field bleachers in fenway against AL pitching? The right field line will be a gimme but that wall moves out quickly and a lot of those 375ft shots are caught in fenways death valley. He will certainly be protected in this lineup but nobody is taking Ortiz in this stage of the game unless he goes on an ass kicking tear.
  7. Everything he swings at appears to be in an uppercut motion, you cant hit high pitches when youre locked into the ""fenway swing"". his pitch selection does have some valor and based on him pressing as hard as he is,someones got to tell him not to swing at anything over his waist.
  8. I guess he's cured his stance, has his hands in the right position and has tuned out all the negativity. Look for him to hit 37 hrs from here on out, dont worry about the last 1/2 season and the incredible drop in power, hes overcome all that with his double the other night that wouldve been an out in most Babe Ruth fields.. OK no more ******** and I am sincere. The facts: He isnt a power threat any longer based on his epic power outage but he can be and is a good hitter who can use that wall like Mo Vaughn and Boggs did religously for success. He is a clutch hitter and always has been, even without big HR#s he can drive in a ton of runs with the table setters he has in front of him, it isnt an accident the sox have taken off since Elsbury started getting on base, Els is a run machine. How long will we use him in the 3 spot based on his banjo hitting, as long as hes driving in runs with 2 outs, stays out of double plays and keeps his K's down he gets that gig but the front office may want more. Thats the question i want answered and that shall be an interesting day when Francona has him hitting behind the scorching Lugo who has outhomered Ortiz and is hitting .330 since coming back.
  9. As much as I f***ING HATE the Yankees I do like Joba Chamberlain's ability to gut out 5ip inspite of really having nothing to write home about. The other members of that staff have as much charisma as pocket lint but this guy just keeps battling and battling and battling.I dont fear him but i do respect his ability to fight in each of his starts. The reality is he's over rated. come september i see him doing mop up work out of the pen or on the disabled list.
  10. Obviously the pitching needs to be better than Saturday.
  11. Seems to me that if you keep Crawford off the bases and keep longoria in the park then we got a pop against them...Offensively you need to be real patient with Kazmir and Shields then hope we dont see Matt fukin Garza again in our lifetimes.
  12. Every year with the exceptions of their title years they put the best fantasy team on the field that money can buy...What the world seems to forget it eventually it comes down to guys like Phil Coke or Javier Lopez to get the big out and it takes the Cody Ransomes or Rocco Baldelli's to get the big hit. It dont matter what your payroll is. From time to time the game will be in the hands of some obscure f*** who makes the league minimum and over the past several years NY's role players simply dont have the goods to win.
  13. Arod isnt the guy who gives up double digits in every other start or blows leads in the 9th inning. When your team ERA is last in baseball neither Arod or the Pope or the Dalai LLama can help you.
  14. The yankee pr machine discussing their minor league talent is like watching fox news reporting on george bush. You know theyre both completely full of s*** but you have to watch them fail before the real truth is revealed... I like Joba but hes a bullpen guy, we can agree hes certainly more effective from the pen in any case. Hughes Kennedy Igawa Veras et al simply arent that good inspite of the ballwashing scribes that the Yankee pr machine unleashes on the gullible yankee supporters. The sox in the mid late 90s had a list of prospects comparable to our current teams depth in the minors. Tomo Okha was 14-0 in Pawtucket and Brian Rose was the minor league pitcher of the year, Carl Pavano was the prize of the organization and Robinson ""CY"'Checo came from Japan and was supposed to be the next coming of Mario Soto. I'm not sure any of these guys won a game in Boston. Now look at the Yankees AAA club. they were 11-0 at 1 point this spring weren't they, i know they were on fire. the difference between AAA ball and the big boy show is amazing and the pressure eats a lot of these kids up not to mention the patience and discipline of the major league hitters opposed to the kids in the minors... Its really a crap shoot because raw talent doesnt always = a major league pitcher.
  15. I look for the mysterious injuries and great differences in power #s when i suspect someone of cheating but im not naive enuff to think Mannys been clean since day 1 either. It just surprises me that he never got caught till yesterday then you look at the shocking disparity in homers he hit in Boston and his surge in Los Angeles after he left... 20/80? in 2007 in 133 games 20/? in 100 games in boston 17hrs in 53 games in Los Angeles.... Clemens did the same s*** when Duquette ruled him past his prime. The sox made Clemens the highest paid player in the game with a 5/25 yr deal and Clem was what? 41-40??39-40?? essentially a .500 pitcher for 5 yrs. He leaves boston wanting to play for a contender closer to texas and decides on a last place team in f***ing canada?...The rest is history and Brian Mcnamee is holding the evidence. Too bad But we won last night and NY lost, its 75 degrees today with brilliant sunshine and life goes on my friends.
  16. Ya but what if it was a viagra like substance?that isnt cheating, thats just being a typical Republican or a Yankee fan. I dont want to explain the whole erectile dysfuction thing to a kid who i hope is still a virgin.
  17. Manny looks like a burner to me but does this erectile dysfunction thing have any legs and how do I explain this to a 13 yr old kid who worships manny and isnt familiar with Viagra or the reasons behind its popularity amongst the Yankee fans and their squeezes?. Based on the power surge I tend to think that Manny was juicing but Id prefer to see him come out of this clean.
  18. Manny was clean on 15 tests and his #s were very consistant in Boston till he started declining in 07. The idea that the sox titles are tainted is pure f***ing nonsense just as NY's are legit from 96-98-00. another case of desperate yankee fans who should are pulling their pricks looking for a reason, any reason at all, to gloat at our expense.Manny never tested positive in Boston and hes not on this years team thats 5-0 against NY...Give it a rest.
  19. f*** the Dodgers, they paid this guy with his baggage well known to everyone. Someone tell Frank Mccourt to pay his rent now that he saves 8M.
  20. Hes a patient at Bridgewater State Hospital after escaping from Bellvue in NY. Jack2aKing is a Doctor and shows flashes of intelligence from time to time.
  21. Well this is rather disturbing to me as I loved the guys swing and have stated that hes the best right handed hitter ive ever seen... 20hrs in all of 2007, 20 hrs in 100 games last year in Boston then blam,17hrs in 53 games in Los Angeles... Could be the Clemens syndrome at work here. you're losing it, you know it, yet you want to prove to the world otherwise so you cheat. Nothing IN this game is sacred but the game itself is still sacred. The participants from the Corporations that buy the luxury suites, to the unmitigated greed of owners who charge 2650.00 for seats and seperate the fans as if we were in a Caste system, from Jeff Loria and Carl Pohlad pocketing their TV and revenue sharing while dumping their teams stars and even our guys and their nasty ass p.r. machine leaking all kinds of s*** to the whores in the media and of course the tainted players, their lack of city loyalty and their blatant dishonesty..... They all suck as well. Things that make it special for me like watching Martinez sending Jeter and Soriano to the emergency ward on consecutive pitches or him stuffing the gerbil into the Fenway turf in October.Josh Becketts incredible performances in 03-07,Oral Hershisers run in 88, Rickey Hendersons all around game was unreal and I still think hes up their with the best ever.Harmon Killebrew and Tony Oliva drinking at the porthole in Chelsea as me and my dad walked in what a treat as an 8 yr old who adored Killebrew, seeing the guy off the field,he was actually shorter than my father yet his hands were like catchers mitts, I couldnt even talk to the guy. Too many good things about this game to simply give it up. Fisks and Carbo's Hrs in game 6, Luis Tiant throwing 155 pitches in game 4, his ability to keep a cigar lit in the shower,Billy Martins explosiveness on and off the field, Yaz covering home plate with dirt after a called strike 3,Ortiz's rampage thru the 2004 season and his incredible playoffs, the grace of Freddy Lynn and the brute power and incredible glove of George Scott, Clemens K'ing 20 twice. Wade Boggs tenacity which made him a good fielder and his incredible plate discipline, Ichiro,Johnny Bench behind the plate and his 1970 season that made him my favorite as a kid and really turned me on to the game (Bernie Carbo told me Bench was gay..talk about a kick in the groin). The game will survive but its this s*** that hurts the kids and makes them cynical. Watching Manny hit was a privledge for me, for my dad and my son and for so many of my friends. This is just another cut the game and our kids have to endure and this hurts a lot more than any of em.
  22. Theres no criticism allowed in the Pink Hat area of RedSox Nation. Doing the bump with the guy next to you and singing Journeys, ""Dont Stop Believing"" is what the real fans do Jim.Christ Almighty.E I G H T Y ,80, ochenta. He's my sons favorite ball player, they share the same name, the man will never ever have to go into his pocket as long as he lives in the city of Boston for anything. The man terrified 30,00,000 Yankee fans in the Tri State area for 5 years but I insist on calling spades spades as long as I live(no offense to the politically correct). I never said he was finished, not once did i say he was finished. I do imply there's trouble and theres concrete evidence of a decline here that makes me worry about the long term with the big man and in the short term he's killing us in the 3 hole. I have seen a dozen guys similar in size and production to Ortiz in my life. George Scott, Dickie Allen, Willie Horton,Willie McCovey, Rice, John Mayberry and Mo Vaughn immediately come to mind and they all faded in different ways. Rice couldnt see anymore,Allen and Scott refused to drop bat sizes,Willie Horton went back to jail with Mayberry and Gates Brown while Willie McCovey took 10 years of seesawing #s and a lot of injuries to finally pack it in and Vaughn and Fielder ate their way out of baseball. So is Ortiz hurt, can he see anymore, is he personally crushed Manny left,is his wife f***ing Vince Coleman, are his children sick, did his town in the DR get washed away in the last hurricane? I love this guy but I have loved many of these guys over the years and I have learned to watch them come and go without getting emotionally burnt out, that part isnt easy We torched a neighbors garage when Dick Oconnell f***ed up the Fisk negotiations by submitting a contract proposal a day late,I hung an ex out the 4th floor window by her ankles after she laughed in my face when Buckner f***ed up 1986 and I think my parents were let down I didnt drop her. I do love this team more than just about everything other than family. I opened my fathers eulogy the day after they lost the pennant, in a church full of 300 worshippers by saying in front of the priests and my sainted mother ""Matt f***ing Garza"" The majority of the people there simply nodded their approval, the Priest cracked up and the mourners were mourning more than my father that morning and I knew it. This is Boston not LA or Miami. I lived here my entire life,I understand the mindset in Boston as much as anyone does and if you think its hard burying a family member try doing it the day after they lose the pennant. Anyway God help me I do love this team. Theres could be 1000 reasons why Ortiz isnt hitting HR's. If your excuse for him is his batting stance/mechanics I think that wouldve been addressed last year or in Florida. If your excuse for him is injury then I may agree inspite of the story that his wrist is back to normal. But If your excuse for him is that the fans are mean then I just have no rebuttal for that ******** at all. That man is loved respected and adored here and I havent heard anyone boo Ortiz in Boston yet. I got a 230 meeting with brass to discuss my shortcomings, I suspect I will return later this afternoon but if I dont I want y'all to have a blessed day. God Bless the Boston Red Sox and specifically David Ortiz's home run power.
  23. Blind criticism.......Blind criticism? Is this a test of my patience or are you simply a jerk off pink hat wearing cheerleader. No, not blind criticism, justified criticism. I dont have the time to break down 1000 hrs of tape frame by frame. I have enough sense to understand the guy hasnt homered in 80 games. Which #3 hitter in the game of Baseball has gone 80 games without homering? Go lite a candle and pray for him. I will continue to call spades spades as I always do until things change. This isnt Washington or SanDiego or SanFrancisco sonny. this is Boston my boy, we understand the game a little bit and we dont close our eyes and say Kumbaya ALL IS WELL when our 3 hitter goes half a f***ing year without homering. Of course its my fault he lost his power. its due to my blind crticism that he has all the power of Jerry Remy these days... Have you ever seen a naked lady outside your family? 2003-31hr and .288 2004-41 and .300 2005-47 and .301 2006-54 and .288 2007-35 and .337 2008-23 and .264 average, his lowest in Boston and while injured. 2009-0 and .230 Stevie Wonder can see the decline here, why cant you?
  24. Ortiz is getting on base again and has hit the ball fairly well over the last 10days but we're looking at 80 games without a HR, thats beyond troubling, thats half a season of no power from a guy who whacked 50 a couple years ago.I thought Carter carried a big stick but couldnt field? He hasnt been given a shot against the big boy clubs as of yet and since Elsbury is banged up we do need another outfielder for the time being..Baily hasnt done anything at all,why not give the lefty bat a pop?Hes hitting .380 in Rhode Island and in limited time here didnt embarass himself and lets face it,we need left handed pop in a big way.
  25. I think Detroit is more well known but national appeal is an enigma. The NHL is on the f***ing animal planet station or something along the lines of an obscure network. Also with the Lakers in the playoffs it could stifle the 20,000,000 southern cal fans who may have tuned in to see the Ducks play but Bettmans wet dreams include hockey being played in every Sunbelt city in the nation. Bettman said they had record attendence and revenues this year but the fact that the NHL isnt on any major network on a regular basis makes it difficult to sell the product where he wants to sell it.
