  1. Rangers are a pretty big favorite at 170/100.... Cards are hot, Texas starters arent but both pens are pitching well...As much as I hate Texas I think I have a distaste for StLouis fans who politely clap when their guys bounce into a double play ending an inning...Of course most of the mutts in Texas have no idea they got a black dude managing the team or they wouldnt sell a ticket unless Rick Perry was putting a black hood on some poor f*** strapped to a gurney awaiting a paralyzing agent to kill him. I loved the 80s Cards team but the team that beat Detroit 5yrs ago stole 1 and this team was lucky to get by Atlanta....ahhh Im gonna say Cards in 6 but want Texas to win.
  2. Lynda you old war horse...Hows things in Klan country? Rick Perry makes me wonder why we stole Texas from the Mexicans. I hate everything Texas accept the titty bars and the beaches in Galveston. Verlander gets it done today but Texas is deep and Detroits banged up, Rangers in 6.
  3. Hi kids, its been a while and I thought Id offer my opinion of the maggots who own this team. Im not a Theo guy or even a Francona guy, it will be another lifetime before I forget that Curtis Leskanic was on the mound in the 12th inning of game 4 vs NY when we started that comeback. Anyway. The owners are despicable, they could give a f*** less about the fan base as the place is an ATM machine..They weaseled their way into town when others offered more money..Yes Frank McCourt and James Dolan were the other men and God knows we were fortunate not to get those 2 guys but lets call spades spades..Everything being equel John Henry Lucky Lucchino and Tom Werner along with their other 16 investors were given this franchise on a silver platter and in turn have made a killing turning millions of clueless jocksniffers into official members of RedSox nation. We saw them grease the skids for Duquette and they tore him down so bad hes been out of baseball since...They did the same to Grady Little, personally I wouldnt have gone to Scott Williams either with the best pitcher in franchise history stoked to a 3 run lead in the 8th...Today there arent 3 people on earth who would admit it but back then?? Little was a good man...After winning in 04 the exodus began..DerekLowe,Martinez,Cabrerra, Damon, Millar and finally Manny were all sent packing and all were s*** on by the owners as well as their mouthpiece The Boston Globe. Im not alone in saying this team hasnt been the same since the Tampa series in 08 and for a guy that saw a dozen games a year in Fenway I cant remember the last time I was in the building, I think it was the Jimmy Fund game in 2008?? Whats that tell you? Maybe nothing but if theyve lost me then theyve lost anyone with a casual love of the sox...My love wasnt casual, I was a die hard my whole life...I still got a Reggie Smith jersey in this house for chrissakes....Point being I guess is this ownership group has taken away my love of this team and replaced it with people who think Neil Diamond songs have always been sung in the 8th inning. I hadnt even noticed I stopped going to the games, I had no idea Becks was in Cy Young contention in August or that AGon was on pace for 150rbi in June. Is that on me? Maybe but if I could hang with them after Aparacio fell on his ass rounding 3rd or with Pete Rose scoing the winning run in game 7 in 75 and Bill Lee blowing a 3run lead&watching Bucky Dents 3r homer in front of Petnovs tv in 78 or the Bill Buckner affair in 86 or Toney Pena in 95 and Aaron Boone in 03...Well you get the picture, Ive dealt with 5 lives of heartache from these guys and still came back but the last 3 summers have been a blur and sad to say I couldnt care less. These owners dont deserve your money, these players dont deserve your attention and Terry Francona and Theo Epstein certainly deserved much more respect and a dignified exit rather than the sodomy they got from these 3 ****s and their minions. As for the Cubs? f*** them too, they deserve mediocrity, theyve accepted it willingly since 1908 and they too dont have to worry about their next dime cause the gates at Wrigley like Fenway will keep turning.
  4. Pricks been healthy his entire career and he even lost weight this spring..Hey, maybe hes tired of playing in a town that stinks like an Anchovies ****??Moneys nice, hes got it and hes got his ring, SanFranciscos where he wants to play but I doubt he/ll be able to get 1/2 of what NY offers him..Hows everyone been?? Its been 1 brutal winter..Even with 3 weeks spent in Jamaica and 2 more in Miami..Jackson you still banging the cadavers down in the morgue?
  5. Losing to JState should bring Houston Nutt down to earth..that was a brutal way tostart their season but Ole Miss is never there when it matters..Im surprised that Boises physically matching up well with VaTech..I figured Tech would beatem up a bit...Boises entire season comes down to this 2nd half...If theyre going to be given a 3 ranking then beating these guys would justify it a bit....With their schedule theyll roll till January unbeaten but will stillbe a 14pt dog to theier opponent
  6. If the only had Igawa ready the yanks wouldve buckled in fear...Theyre flat and this f***bag Mosely is putting the nails in the coffin..Cameron Drew and Ells along with their backups maybe the least productive, biggestg pussies ever to play in Fenway..Camerons 38..hes got an excuse but drew and especiaolly ells have been ****ish..Same agent same lack of courage..Ells is their offensive catalyst....his absense along with all the others killed these guys and Becks is owned by NY...Goodnite kids...say your prayers..Jacko you can blow me twice
  7. G/day ladies and gents..Nice to have 5days in row off in July..Wakes been servicable tonight,Kevin Cash has his hands full..Good to see Drew get going..With all the wounded in the OF and the losses of tek dusty and Vmart its essential for Drew to really lite it up for a good month then stay healthy till Oct...Hes capable but reliable he aint
  8. I like dejesus but hes cheap money and kc will want MLB game ready arms for him. JD Drew continues to fascinate me with a newly discovered ailment once a week..It aint funny anymore, this **** is as reliable as a brokecoke addict. I havent been here in ages so I was interested in seeing how deep the manlove is for some of my older friends on board. I think hes a f***ing parasite,a jonah and i know he sits when peeing. Y/ALL HAVE A BLESSED 4TH and take care. Our pitching will keep us competetive and hopefully this band of nonames can keep banging out decent offense...
  9. Hi kids...Been a long while...Im Sean,a diehard sox fan that watches just about every inning that dont involve Dice K. I hate Jd Drew and his glass body and everything affiliated with NY..i like good weed and am an arvent supporter of womens rights and think everyone needs a hug once a day....Peace
  10. Syracuse looked like the Jamaican 4x100 relay team on Saturday evening running Nova off the floor. The SEC has 2 very good teams in KY and Tenn,Miss State is decent too. The Big 10 has Ohio and MichSt, neither of which overly impress. The ACC has nobody, sure theyll give Duke another # 1 seed but they really arent that good and Maryland took them out last night fairly easy, Duke and Wake are the 2 ACC teams that have any potential, the others are just bad this year...The East on the other hand looks like they could have anywhere between 8-10 clubs in the tourney with UConn needing to do some real damage in the East Tourney or they may not make the dance at all. Out west you got BYU, Zaga and New Mexico?? None appeal to me at all. The top 4 Ive seen are Ky, Kansas,Syracuse and ....f*** i dont know, maybe Nova if Reynolds is on? Its a wide open year for many a team, could be the hardest brackets ever filled out with nobody really standing out..
  11. I think this is there ONLY way into the majors. They cant pitch good enough and although some of those college softball bitches can hit a ton they are still facing women pitchers...Outside of a sprinter used as a pinch runner a Knuckleballer would be the only other way in and that would take an act of God. although nothing like breaking the color barrier it would indeed be a landmark day.
  12. Due to Detroits aging I think this is S/Jose's year to take over the West. That Chicago team is fun, they got some play makers and are real quick but in June its usually the deepest teams that advance and Detroit had played with 4 lines forever, the bigger more physical teams are hard to knock out in a 7 game series and I think San Jose maybe on the cusp of getting it done...Who do we like in the East?...DC or Pitt?....Pitt are defending champs and they got more than 1 stud, Ovechkin is the best player in the game I feel, he reminds me very much of Mark Messier as hes a scoring machine that can also kick the s*** out of you if he must. Since they opened the ice up a few years back I started watching again and this years olympics were full of some amazing hockey and the next month will be a let down in comparison. That said nothing beats playoff hockey, playoff hockey turns these rinks into zones of complete bedlam.
  13. Drew almost had as many RBI as Lowell last year? He's obviously underated but its evident that Drew believes he's the real deal and he thinks he absolutely delivered as the most expensive guy on the roster. Ok bring it on, I cant resist playing with you guys and neither can you guys resist defending him as if he were mother Teresa with a bat, especially my good friends Kg and Dipre. I beg that in October you ream me out after Drew wins the triple crown and world series MVP. Steve Buckley is being himself today, I hate him. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/columnists/view Seriously speaking you can mail his #s in if he stays on the field for 140 games. 17/65/.275...80runs...slugging .500..100k's 30 dbls ..and an impressive .900 ops as well as a good glove in right..Those are consistant #s and lets face it, lefties will lose power #s in Fenway, especially the gap hitters...Problem is we signed him to hit 5th and he hasnt earned that slot in 3 years here. I think hes better suited for 2nd with his obp on or at .400 every year but then you got to think about moving Pedroia out of that hole..I think Pedroia and Ells are going to be a great 1-2 punch so they wont be f***ed with or will they?? Who knows....I do know they all need to be healthy. Offensively we're an enigma this year, Drews consistancy will be essential to this teams success, more so than ever but Id trade some of those OBP#s for more power... Where does he hit this year? I think 6th. in front of Beltre Cameron and Scutaro. I certainly dont hate this guy as much as I used to Im surprised that this guy hasnt developed the Fenway swing that made Vaughn and Boggs famous, that walls got to be tempting for the inside out approach and I think this guy handles the stick as good as anyone we got...Anyway to put things in perspective Drew and Lowell had essentially the same #s on offense yet we cant even give Lowell away this year? I say we keep him as Beltre isnt a kid anymore and has been banged up. we're going to be paying the heavy load on Lowells money as it is and what the f*** is wrong with Lowell spotting Ortiz at DH,Youk or Youk at 1st or even taking the job over if Ortiz cant get out of his own way this summer. Lowell is a good guy, a cancer survivor, a guy you want to be in a foxhole with and he says hes healthy. Why give him away for nothing when he can help here? I think he wants to play every day but hes not a fool. I ask the panel at his age would you rather make the 12M playing part time with a chance of winning it all again or would you rather play full time for a 2nd tier club that maybe using you the same way??
  14. Best Hockey seen in years, its nice for a change to see competetion that isnt watered down, a game that promotes offense and players that are playing as if theyre defending their nation from invasion. The Russians looked as if they skated into Stalingrad last night. I thought the Canadiens were a bit slower and may have had trouble keeping up with the quicker Ruskies who I thought were the creme of the tourney....It was 4-1 before the seats got warm. The US continues to play great defense and handled those pesky Swiss, the Swiss goalie wouldve had a pop at MVP if his team was capable of generating any offense, they werent. I also thought the Swedes would be a tuff out as defending champs, the Slovaks ate them up and pulled off the upset, the Slovaks seem big and handcuffed the free wheeling Sweeds who were trapped in between blue lines all night....Canada got a break perhaps. I think the Fins are a better overall club than the Slovaks but with Canada having to play an extra game and having to play the bigger, more physical and experienced Slovakian club the US may catch a tired Canadien team if they both make it to the Gold....This will be fun and I'll even watch the girls play for the Gold tonight, even though its much slower the skill levels arent that bad. This is the best hockey Ive seen in years, many years and if Gary Bettman is paying attention to this perhaps he's thinking what the rest of the hockey world is thinking, retract the NHL and get some of these douchebag franchises off the map.
  15. He'll want and probably get more money than Lackey got but I dont think he'll be approaching that monster deal that Sabby got in NY unless it comes from the Mets or Yanks and even then he'll have to have 200+ip with 200Ks and a sub 3 era with some October success mixed in. Im not sure that'll get him a 5 year deal either but who knows. Its hard to judge the market these days but if Beckett approaches his 07 season he will write his own ticket and I doubt he will be here next year if he does have a Cy Young type season.
  16. Chan Ho Park has a 4 pitch arsenal and is able to keep hitters off balance by changing speeds on all of his pitches...Dont let his figures over the last 10 years fool you, he will be NY's next Shawn Chacon, Aaron Small or Al Leiter... This move alone makes the Yankees infinitely better and by May he will have pitched his way to become their #2 starter after Burnett gets neutered, comes down with a uterine infection and is shelved for a couple of months...The good news for Burnett is the people at Vagisil have come with cash in hand. Mangina's are no longer a secret and Burnett will be the 1st pro who comes out of the closet and shows us all that Hemaphrodites can indeed play ball. It isnt funny and I suspect more will follow the courageous Burnett down this lonely road of openess. Exerpts from Mrs Burnetts diary. ""My husband and I were expecting a son, and found out upon birth that our child is actually biologically more female, and will have a surgery to remove what would be a non-functioning penis. There is no urethra in the penis. This is tough for us because our families expected that we were having a son since that's what we said the ultrasounds told us. Now we have to have sex reassignment surgery in the next month or so. It is all so confusing, but most of all, I worry for my now-daughter, because I want her to feel normal. I want this reassignment to be successful in every way so that she can grow up feeling like a "normal" woman. I'm so scared"". Chan Ho Park? Come in from the cold MJ, this guy will be pitching in the National League by the break.
  17. ""Tazawa dominated for Nippon, pitching a complete-game shutout in his final start, which was on Nov. 21. His fastball, according to a Major League source, is generally in the mid- 90s. Some reports suggested that Tazawa threw 97 mph"" Ian Brown, 11/28/2008. Jesus Christ of all people to go to war over you're going to pick this guy? Ok, I got time, its early in the month,Indy got smoked and I got paid and am in a pretty good mood for a Monday. Are you menstruating or are you in the military? Undersexed or underage? I like to size up the instigators before hand but I dont have that luxury today. I'm as honest as any human being Ive ever met, thats not all that impressive based on my feeling on humanity but at the very least no one disputes this in my circle. Unfortunetly I dont read every piece of RedSox literature that I do come across but you can clearly see for your own eyes what was written by him then. I only can care so much about a guy who wont be in baseball in 2011 and the only reason THE ONLY REASON he pitched in Boston last year was sheer desperation and an attempt to justify the stupidity of signing a guy who we didnt do our homework on whether you believe this or not. Ian Brown usually is full of s*** and dead wrong or what was it you said""Tazawa wasnt supposed to throw 97""...I agree with you, I'll blow 20 Japanese writers in the EMC suite if he could throw 93, never mind 97.Its the other guy,the Sox in house writer whos lying because I did see this **** pitch and this guy couldnt break a window from 30 feet. For the sake of argument I freely admit I wouldnt know Tazawa from the guy who eats all those hotdogs but I am certainly capable of reading English sonny and I did read that hes capable of throwing 97 and did throw in the mid 90s. The heck does that have to do with anything? We acquired him as a prospect, not as a finished product [B]Ok you like to be right even when youre wrong so you're telling me we spent 6M on him for 3 years to boost the attendence in Portland or Pawtucket or wherever the f*** he pitches? Prospect my ass. I was under the impression we signed this guy to improve the team that plays in Boston/B] Oooh, you mean you're one of those people who Watch The Games, rather than say Check The Numbers, Read The Scouting Reports, or Know what The **** You're Talking About. No, I'm the guy who drools over the 19 Japanese MLB players that were active last year. Ya I saw the guy actually pitch,I also read the scouting reports when we signed him and they were wrong as hes incapable of breaking an egg with his fastball which means doom in the AL East. Let me spell it out in the Kings English. He sucked, he ate it, he got blessed in 1 effort and was putrid in his others and all things considered Im of the mindset he'll be pitching for a lot less money in 2011 than hes making now.. Are you hanging your hat on his 2-3 7.46 in 6 games? What would that ERA look like if the Yanks didnt leave 20men on base in 7IP that July day? Where the f*** do you get your optimism from with this guy? What are you reading that I should be? I have no clue what you're watching and you sound like that guy Jackson(no offense MJ, you havent got a go f*** yourself from me in a while)who roots for the Yankees and has 25,000 posts, most of them full of complete s***...such as expecting to see this guy perform effectively. Are you from the Sox brass or are you Asian by birth? Seriously, if you like this guy enuff to question my intelligence you gotta have some kind of a warm fuzzy over this guy be it similar culture or perhaps you live in Maine or Central Falls?? You certainly cant be talking about the bloody gash we saw pitch here last summer, the guy Theo gave 6m to because he starred in the Japanese industrial league. Bottom line here What he does in Maine means s***, what he does in Rhode Island means s*** and someday when you grow up and age into adulthood you'll stop masturbating furiously about prospects, especially these useless f***s and will be patient enough to wait till they develop.... Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you when youre young at heart... Its fun to be optimistic but I leave that to the children. I deal in reality..If you think this guy has a future in Boston God bless you, if Im you Id buy all the Tazawa gear you can find now because anywhere between the next 4 and 20 months they wont be selling it Stateside OK. You're dead wrong. But OK. No, I am dead right..Tomo Ohka went 14-0 in 1 blistering year in Pawtucket, he was our savior so we were told by scouts, buy the scribes, by the brass and the other unmitigated ballwashers who have been wrong so much more often than not. He was another useless MLB pitcher both here and during his less than mediocre career all over baseball with the expos being his primary home. Checo was signed by Duquette for big money at the time and didnt win a game here or anywhere that I recall, do I really need to go on with the Sunny Kim's Seung Song's or the rest of the Asian softball pitchers that infested our system with false optimism for years on end?? Actually, the success rate as a percentage of pitchers brought over is probably much higher for Japanese than it is for Dominicans. It's just that the busts are less public, since they tend to die out in the minors. Agreed, the #s arent even close but there are different rules and way different prices when you're drafting kids out of the Dominican or signing what are usuall Japanese players If you like this guy so much why didnt you ballistic when the Sox let Saito go to the Braves for 3M?? Saito's old, real old but his #s stack up with most of the mlb relievers pretty well. 2006 6-2 2.07 2007 2-1 1.40 2008 4-4 2.49 2009 3-3 2.43 He's certainly more capable than Tazawa is going into this year and he left here for 3M per or 1M more than Tazawa's making ripping up Nashua....but getting his tits lit up like the Lucky 7 slots at the old Flamingo in MLB action and theres nothing that I have seen read or heard that changes this. If I could get that thread open when Kei Igawa made his 1st start for the Yanks Id love it. It starts ""This guy has 4 pitches, is MLB ready and will answer the Sox signing DiceK"" There was infinitely more ballwashing going on but for the sake of time I'll end this post with that quote from Jackson somewhere in the 3rd inning when Igawa was getting sliced up badly and Jackson ended his night with "This guy sucks"".....and on that thought my friends have a blessed evening.
  18. Hi Lynda, I figured with Nawlins winning yesterday that you'd end up at Tracy Porters house on St Charles St, that party should be running smoothly till fat Tuesday at least. Wakefields 1st win as a Redsox pitcher was the week of my stag party in NY, somewhere in the middle of Reagans 1st term I believe. It was the last time I had sex that didnt involve pure, mutual hatred, dangerous levels of alcohol, violence and eventually a lot of tears so ya, I have love for him and consider him a key component in keeping my marriage together and my annual nomination for Worcester County's Husband of the Year award.
  19. Im afraid to hit refresh or I may get bumped out of here for the day, my IT dept spends more time keeping us out of these forums than it does doing anything else God bless them, i get time between 8-9 in the mornings and at 445pm but in between is usually dark. Is Tazawa capable of being a 4man in MLB? Ya, of course, see some of these douchebags out there? I got a young arm too but in the overly competetive AL East Im not sure this guy has the tools over a 3yr stint to make it here successfully while Wakefield has thrown pretty much the same #s in year in and out....Tazawa would have to beat out Wake, Bowden and some other guys who have been signed to minor league deals in order to make it out of the gate. I suspect we shall see him again once a big inning guy goes on the shelf for a few weeks but I dont think hes got a shot to start the season in Boston. This is year 2 of a 3 year deal, if not this year then hes got 1 more shot and with the staff of young arms we got I simply dont see this guy ever making it, at least not in Boston. I dont wish him ill will, hopefully he can be effective enuff in RI to become trading material to a West Coast club...I havent seen anything out of him that indicates he'll be here long but he did give us 1 amazing Saturday afternoon that I wont soon forget.
  20. Based on the fact that he was supposed to throw 97 and he doesnt, hasnt played in the big boy league in Japan and the way he pitched last year in Boston...In that Yankee game he won I saw more meatballs served in those 4.5 hours than are served at Mama Leone's on Salem Street in a week. I think we got a lot more Kei Igawa/Tomo Ohka/Robinson""Cy"" Checo, Sang Song's than we do Dice K's. The fact that he went straight from the amateurs to the majors doesnt make him good, it makes him money. The way the US is spending on sucky Japanese pitching these days makes me suspicious that Theo only paid him 6?M/3yrs... I understand that he's young but will he accept playing in Rhode Island for a couple years when he wouldnt accept playing in Japans big leagues? These kids get emotional and we have had a lot more busts than success stories since the Asian kids started coming here 18-20 years ago.
  21. I dont see Tazawa as a capable MLB pitcher, Wakefield made the allstar team last year after a solid 1st half, if hes not hurt I think hes still an asset as a starter and more of a liability in the bullpen unless its after DiceK throws 110 pitches in 3ip. You can pencil in what Wakefields going to do pretty much his entire career but all this is idle speculation that depends on his health, the guy isnt a youngster
  22. Detroit has spent a ton of cash and has nothing to show for it. In that spacious field they need to develop an offense around Miggy C, they need some help in the bullpen and they will be a team thats capable of going the distance. 2006 they f***ed up a sure thing, i dont think Curtis Grandersons loss will hurt them that badly but they do need to find some sticks and they need to play better against the iron, they went a combined 2-11 against Boston and NY and blew the division to the twins by laying down graciously as if they were the French defending Paris in 1940...Im not sold on E Jackson, Jeremy Bonderman is capable of 200ip,Dontrelle Willis has been a failure, anxiety issues are a hard sell when you've sucked as bad as he has. I think Washburn is very capable of turning things around, especially at home and should have 15-18wins this year depending of course on his run support. I see these guys as the best of the central and if their pitching, especially their bullpen comes around then I think theyre capable of doing some damage in October, especially with Johnny V throwing 100mph...I do love power pitchers in October, something you gotta have if you want to win but in recent years Detroit seems to be the team that has the most unfullfilled talent, eventually these guys are going to get it together, this maybe the year it happens.
  23. Struggling thru another Winter day here in the valley of the mighty blackstone Miss Lynda. Its almost like prison, locked inside 24/7 unless you like to ski or snowboard and I have value my health a lot more than that Its getting a tad redundant, every morning in the low teens, every afternoon about 28-32,every night colder than a whores heart the night before rent is due... Lord help me I do hate the winter, it gets worse for me every year and now that Im essentially sober it drags on even longer, at least when I was drinking I could do a 3month blind bender and when I wake up its April, no more of that though. I have begun a property search in your perimeter for me to escape to, I got 9+ more years then Im outta the game for good. I dont give a f*** if i have to sell pecans on the side of the road or wash the toilets at Stuckeys, the day I hit 55 is the day I bow out of the 8-5 rat race. Im looking between the Roanoke, Asheville NC and Rome Ga with an eye on Chatanooga specifically. Of all the 8 cousins born in Miami theres 1 left in the entire state of Fl and both are teachers in the same school district, they too are bailing out as soon as they retire. Florida outgrew me, I can actually feel the weight of all the people who migrated there, every deadbeat, scumbag, escapee lands in Florida and of course the blue headed QTips annoy the f*** out of me too.....I simply cant handle 45 minutes of driving to get to a grocery store 5 miles away. Atlanta is too urban to retire in for me, I do like the city but it's too ...I dunno, new I guess? Its like a giant Brighams, it lacks personality and character and it reminds me a lot of Los Angeles with all those sprawling suburbs, I can take a week there but long term thinking is Chatanooga. It has the exact climate I prefer year round, lands very cheap and the place is loaded with rivers and streams.E Tennessee is beautiful, its cheap and the climate is perfect for my beat up health. The Smoky Mtns are awesome, the people there actually are genuine, when they say Good Morning they mean it.
