  1. Jesus thats f***ing brutal
  2. Wasnt that Byung Yung Kim who gave up walk offs in that series? Ya, we needed him in 03 like my dick needs another blister.
  3. As a Celtic fan, a team that was once I think 14-0 in the Finals,we did expect to win every f***ing year bar none.We had rivals in NY Philly and of course LA but then came the 80s and detroit became hated. I understand the mindset of success that dynastys produce but lets not pretend that you didnt think NY would win in any of the last 7 years, especially in 02 03 04 05 and 06 and of course this year. When you buy allstars for every position and continue to fail to win in the playoffs you scratch your head and ask what the f*** is going on here?....Truth being that whenever the Steinbrenners get actively involved in player personal moves they tend to f*** up the works completely and only thru the suspension of the Felon were the Yanks able to properly rebuild their club to the point of being perennial threats as theyve been for the last 15 seasons...77-78 titles? NY and the Angels were the clubs who were active in the free agent market and those teams in 77-78 were the rosters of the Oakland A's and Cinci Reds from the early 70s that won 5 straight titles and then moved onto NY...Outside those 2 years Ny has failed under Steinbrenners watch.
  4. It takes a man of your experience to understand where Im coming from here brother. Sort of like Borats wife who said""I'll snap your cock off""...ooooooooof Wasnt Lavar Aarington going to marry Serena? I'd like to buy stock in their future offspring.
  5. The Orioles were good back in the mid late 90s and Mussina was a f***ing beast on the mound for them but they had the crazy arthur rhodes as a closer, then went to Armando Benitez to and an essentially a suck staff that couldnt buy a break in all those games vs NY. Tony fuking Tarasco, Jeff Maier etc...They should all die of slow suffocation
  6. Roddick was a huge favorite today Federer will be a huge favorite sunday Whos going to win the battle of the sisters? Imagine getting buzy with either of those 2? I'm limping with the thought of it, their glutes are just so impressive I bet if you stuck coal in their ass you'd have a diamond in less than an hour.
  7. Hinske is the stud of that outfield defensively, Is it me or is Melky Cabrerra carrying a lot more bulk on his ass these days?He looked like William Perry chasing down a ball hit over his head last night.
  8. http://www.nydailynews.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=64311&tstart=0 Evidently the ex Mrs Leyritz was helping herself to his checkbook and when the police asked the kids what happened the oldest said ""mom was drunk, she probably did this to herself""...Love the way the kids rally around the old man and throw mama under the bus.
  9. How many dicks come in a bucket??LOLGom is naive to the reality and in denial of the truth. We know whats real and what isnt, the Yankee ""aura and mystique"" is now gone forever. There is no curse, they now play in a building they cant sell out and nobody is afraid of them anymore. Yank Sox games on a friday night or saturday in the bronx are like homegames for boston fans. Nothing ever will be the same for NY fans, never again can they point at us and say 1918. (of course some of them still do) NY circa 2004 was 1 out away from sweeping the sox and winning the pennant. There hasnt been a collapse of that magnitude in the history of baseball and is regarded as the biggest choke job in the history of sports. the fact is nothing can beat this collapse ever and it would be a miracle if it were ever duplicated... 2 outs bottom of the 9th up 3-0 in games and instead of winning the pennant you get beat in extra innings in game 4,get cornholed in again in game 5 and then Schilling and his gutty effort showed us the way and we won twice in your own backyard in games 6-7. We thought only the Cubs are capable of f***ing up that bad but led by Arod,Kato Matsui,KY Brown and Javier Vasquez the Yanks hearts folded like accordians and have been doing it every year since. They're odds on favorites to win the title every year with a payrool advantage often twice as high as their closest competetors the Yanks havent even won a single playoff series since then... You're only fooling yourself Gom, the reality is the Yankee fans still havent found out what hit them and I think you know it in your heart. The Yankees have confidence problems under pressure,Arod especially. Their entire world has been shifted off its axis and the entire Baseball community gets it.. except you.
  10. Tuff game for the Yanks to lose because Sabby was once again ahh dominant, hitting all the corners, keeping the ball low and the hitters off balance. IP H R ER BB K ERA* C Sabathia (L, 7-5) 5.2 10 6 6 3 8 3.85 In all honesty he kept them in the game long enuff for their bats to come around and when he left it was 6-4 I think. The Yanks ko'd their starter in 4 but they couldnt do a thing against that vaunted Seattle bullpen. Lets hope those Mariner arms are tired, they probably will get some rest with the sox killer going today.
  11. And that was in the 2nd inning of game 7 with 20,000 sox fans in attendance. Something happened after 03, every sox yanks affair on a summer weekend was almost like a home game. I was there in April 04 when Arroyo beat Kevin Brown in consecutive starts,1 of them was an extra inning affair that they Yanks tied late and we won in like 13? if im not mistaken. The Yanks home field advantage was erased in the 03 pennant and we stole the 04 series then dismantled st louis easily. In any case it was mentally refreshing to see the sox raise that banner in 04, it changed a lot of things that i held deep in my heart and Im so greatful dad saw the 2 titles and only wished some of my elders who brought me up with these guys in my blood lived long enuff to see what i did.... We took things personally and suffered like starving dogs for so many years you wondered if it would ever happen.
  12. Lots of shrinks were put out of business the same night when Kevin Brown and Javier Vasquez got shanghai'd in game 7 by the most unlikely hero of them all..Derek Lowe. the same guy who had a chance to give us a shot at the division in NY the weekend the season ended but got beat so bad he was gone in less than 2ip if i recall and he wasnt in the rotation for the Angels series due to his ineptness. Lots of heroes, lots of luck and a lot of emotional dirt erased from memory.
  13. Imagery is everything
  14. f*** the yankees. Id slowly carve out my taint with a rusty shrimp fork before i feel sympathetic to that franchise. Too many scars, too many bad nights, too much acid in my stomach for me to feel a f***ing thing over their current demise so far this century.. I enjoyed watching Luis Gonzales lil ground ball that barely made the outfield more than I enjoyed watching Petey stuff the gerbils metal plated head into the fenway turf and more than watching Tek bitchslap Mr April... The Tek event and that 9-8 come from behind win made our guys confident, even down 0-3 they knew they could win and so did the Yankees for that matter.
  15. The guy was essentially put on 6 days rest back in 04 and couldnt hack the strains of the national league rotation when he was in NY.. The last time I saw him pitch Pittsburg knocked him out of the game in the 2nd inning. Give it up, spend some of your money and relax, youre done.
  16. Some Yank fans still scream 1918 and tell me that Arod has been their best CF since Willie Randolph. ****s,most Yank fans from this area are wankers who sucked in sports and needed to make up for their physical shortcomings by being the fans of say the Lakers or the Canadiens or the Yankees. 1 thing we do know for sure. the Dbax series didnt replace the standard international symbol for choking as the 2004 collapse did.
  17. There will come a day when Texas actually gets some legitimate pitching via the draft although I doubt Tom Hicks will live that long. He found out the hard way that spending 8 figures on ex dodgers with decent #s was a huge mistake. Where are Pedro Astacio and Chan Ho Park these days?
  18. Arods had a great week. maybe the estrogen injections have helped him find his inner beauty.
  19. Sundays supposed to be the jewel of the weekend. This pattern of suck has been here for a month now abd its warmer on the top of MT Washington than it is at my Gloucester residence this morning. Imagine dropping a couple of grand renting a house down the cape this week?
  20. FUKIN AY MAN.....wrote this off already, it wouldve been misery losing this game after last nights effort, especially after I backed up the truck on the sox today. Good for the bullpen to rescue Becks and lots of heart and courage was shown in this affair. Allefukinlujah Sean Patrick.
  21. Hes a good ballplayer but he is what he is, hardly anything to get excited about
  22. He best be dominant today as our bullpen shat itself into dehydration last night. Thank Christ I missed the end. Im loading up on Beckett this afternoon, hes cheap at 140.00 and the O's will be exhausted after running the bases so much after the rain.
  23. Its very practical business, all the F/O needs to do is compete and they have us at their mercy, when they win it all we're on our knees with gratitude. Theyre so deep in young pitching that no matter who is out on the field they can compete. 4 road games against Atlanta and Baltimore, they've scored 10 runs and are 3-1? This is with Bucholz and Bowden in the minors and Dice K on sabbatical and Masterson/Bard not being worked hardly at all...Its wine and roses in the future for this team, theyre going to be at or near the top of the east for the next 5 years unless there's a plane crash.
  24. Y'all know what Jackson is saying is true, spin it any way you want but NY pays more than Boston does. Of course you get f***ed to tears on City County and State taxes in NY but you'll still put more in pocket via endorsements etc... Dont want to get into a bidding war with NY and I predict if we do win it all this year then Bays gone.
