    First of all it's been widely posted on that site that the player comparisons don't necessarily represent any type of ceiling/ability level but rather a player of similar playing style. And "SIGNIFICANTLY"? Morneau had a .830 OPS in AA at the same age, that's better than what Lars has done this year (though last year...) but it's not like he was a .900 OPS guy by any means. And compared to the guy we're talking about trading him for, Gonzalez, he had a .719 OPS for TEX's AA and .777 OPS for FLA's AA.

    I like Gonzalez and all but really strong 1B hitters are a dime a dozen. I'd say there are at least 6-7 1B that I'd take over him now AND going forward yet people want to completely drain the farm for him? Buchholz, Anderson, Reddick, and more??? That's our two best hitting prospects and an exceptional pitching prospect for a first baseman. Hell no

    He's going to AAA, and we picked up most (all?) of Lugo's contract.

    He's had 1 and a half bad months totaling 150 AB yet he's garbage. Lets just go ahead and ignore the 1.042 OPS he put up in his first two months that landed him a starting spot in the all-star game. Lets just ignore that over 3000 AB he's a career .890 OPS hitter. Lets ignore that he's only 30 years old and in his prime. Yes, lets ignore all that and look at the past 150 AB rather than the last 3000. Sounds good, quality s*** there Gom!
