I hope that kimmi is having a great time in Vegas, because she is going to have to work very hard when she comes back to find some stats to give us hope that this team doesn't completely suck.

This team embarrasses itself. Players don't know how many outs there are when they are in the field (twice in the last few games) or when they are on base. They don't know the count when they are at the plate (Hanley tonight). The infielders don't know where to line up for cutoff throws on hits to the outfielders. The outfielders don't know where to throw the ball when they get it. They run the bases like chickens with their heads cut off. They fall prey to double steals. That is not bad luck. That is just bad baseball. Bad coaching.

They are just wasting time if they keep him around. He's done as a starter. I might let him pitch out of the pen, but he has to be removed from the rotation. He has no chance of succeeding. The velocity he needs isn't there and it isn't coming back.

No one knows where they are supposed to be in the IF and no one in the OF knows what they are supposed to do with the ball. Yes, you are right that that is the fault of the coaching.

I agree with everything in your post on the prior play by Hanley. I was referring to the one good play Hanley made after that. There were no mistakes on that. Altuve was just too fast and read the play so well.

Our pitching stubbornly clinging to the worst ERA in the league. Hey Ben, it's the pitching, stupid! Get us some pitchers that can give us some consistency and give us a chance to win.

Hanley caught one off the wall before it hit the ground and Altuve was still fast enough to score from first base.

Lackey's ERA in 2013 was .80 better than Porcello.
