  1. "That's just stupid." -- A700Hitter
  2. Cheerios? Are you all 6 years old? Get some serious whole nuts and grains into your morning diet. You will thank me, and you will all be less cranky.
  3. I guess that you haven't figured out that you aren't the usual casual fan.
  4. it wasn't a criticism. It is surprising to me and I am wondering if it is a product of a conscious change in approach.
  5. Ask any sports fan to name 3 Tampa Rays hitters other than Evan Longoria and I'll bet they will go 0 for 3. I' m not getting too excited about Rich Hill's Red Sox future.
  6. The problem is that he will probably go on the DL before his next start and need surgery.
  7. Rich Hill for the top of the rotation! Ben's plan coming to fruition.
  8. As good as XB has been this season, I am surprised that he has hit only 5 home runs this year. Last year, in a very inconsistent offensive season, he hit 12 home runs. I wonder if the drop in home runs is tied to a different approach to his ABs. When he does club one, it goes a long way. He has the power.
  9. He has been a guy that has had some slow starts, but he is still one of the best in the game, and he is our best hitter. A guy who hits 30 HRs and knocks in 100 every year is not the problem. The problem with this team from day one has been ....
  10. When is the last time that Rich Hill started a game?
  11. The Blue Jays just buried the Yankees.
  12. Ortiz has to go. He is through and the reason why we are under .500. Guys that hit 30 bombs and drive in 100 runs every year are usually at the root cause of the losing.
  13. LOL!!! I'd still trade one of those tiny OFers for Matt Harvey.
  14. The whole bullpen sucks. Taz is the least of our problems.
  15. Pig Pen does it again.
  16. They will have to rely on Bird the rest of the way.
  17. I am available to take the open puppet position.
  18. Well, it sure didn't help. Lol!
  19. Castillo had a good instinct for how to caroms would come off the wall. They showed some footage of Castillo taking instruction from one of the coaches on playing the wall. I don't recall seeing any footage of Hanley getting such instruction.
  20. I long for mediocre as I am entitled.
  21. I wonder which of the deposed GMs will find new GM positions for next season.
  22. GTs have been neglected lately which is surprising to me since this is the best baseball that the Red Sox have played in almost 2 full seasons.
  23. Yep, I saw it. It put the Mets in a 7-1 deficit. I thought they were toast, but they came back to win. Everything is breaking right for them. Edit: I have seen a lot of Cespedes since the Mets got him. To put Hanley in context, Cespedes has looked like Willie Mays out their in comparison. Also, he has played some CF for the Mets. Go figure. BTW, Castillo has looked great in LF. I think he should be the Left Fielder with Bradley in RF. Last night, Castillo made several good plays in LF. He threw out Donnaldson by 15 feet on a line drive off the wall. He held runners at first and second on another wall ball. There were abut three plays that Hanley would have turned into a tour around the bases with the Toronto thrid base coach windmilling runners around. People think that LF is no big dea in Fenway, but if you put a bad fielder out their it can wreck game after game. Hanley may be the biggest cause for our terrible season right along with the terrible pitching.
  24. Oh,I didn't see that. I know Headley hs been having throwing problems. There was a play on a throw at 2nd that local sportscasters were blaming on Headley.
