A 4 point post to refute that what ... I am right that Rich Hill is not our pitching solution or that he beat a pretty bad offensive team? Why do you think that Rich Hill is important enough to have a debate about? Lol! Edit: As far as credit goes, of course Hill gets credit for pitching a good game and Jim Bunning got credit for his perfect game, but it is worth noting that it was against the Mets.

    Ask any sports fan to name 3 Tampa Rays hitters other than Evan Longoria and I'll bet they will go 0 for 3. I' m not getting too excited about Rich Hill's Red Sox future.

    As good as XB has been this season, I am surprised that he has hit only 5 home runs this year. Last year, in a very inconsistent offensive season, he hit 12 home runs. I wonder if the drop in home runs is tied to a different approach to his ABs. When he does club one, it goes a long way. He has the power.

    Ortiz has to go. He is through and the reason why we are under .500. Guys that hit 30 bombs and drive in 100 runs every year are usually at the root cause of the losing.

    Castillo had a good instinct for how to caroms would come off the wall. They showed some footage of Castillo taking instruction from one of the coaches on playing the wall. I don't recall seeing any footage of Hanley getting such instruction.
