  1. Jeesh! You are losing your edge. The rest of us got it. You are just becoming a threesome indulgent old fuddy duddy.
  2. Triple if Hanley is out there.
  3. Laser show back at Fenway!
  4. Pedroia still makes the double play turn faster than anyone at second base.
  5. I am sure that would get it done.
  6. I think Pedroia can still play. His hands are healthy and his power is back. I am looking for a big season from him next year.
  7. I love that little guy. I am not in the trade him camp.
  8. The Mets will not take salary. That is the deal killer. That kills the deal before discussing the quality of the player.
  9. Pedroia is back. Trade the bum!
  10. The Mets would love Bogaerts as they have been having trouble for eons in getting a good SS. They could probably get him in a one for one trade for XB, but I have always hated trading everday star players for a pitcher. I wouldn't do it. Betts is a possibility. I could see that, but again it is not an easy call. I don't know what the Mets would accept beyond that. I would assume Moncado is untouchable. If they would take Bradley and minor leaguer, that would be great. Maybe if Bradley keeps hitting like a beast through the end of the season we could get that done. I think that would be a good trade for both teams.
  11. This is very bad news for the Yankees as Eovoldi has been very good for more than a month.
  12. Cuddyer is only under contract for one more year. It's not that big of a contract.
  13. The game has to have integrity. A losing atmosphere is not something that a team wants to carry into the offseason. A good draft pick next season will not help reverse the losing in 2016.
  14. That is a non-starter. The Mets will not want an OFer with a $72 million price tag. Second, they will no want Owens. Their pitching is better than our pitching prospects. Holt is a utility player. That offer will no get it done. If you want Harvey, it will cost Betts or Bogaerts. Forget any pacakage that doesn't include one of them. They have no need for Swihart. They have d'Arnaud as their young catcher and Plawecki as the back up.
  15. Daubach looked great when he was in the groove. He hit the ball hard to all fields, but when he went cold, it looked like he had been struck blind. He would put up 3 weeks of helpless ABs. I will have to wait to see if that happens to Shaw.
  16. David Cone said it recently that Shaw doesn't give an inch against lefties. The kid has a live bat. He makes a lot of good contact even on his outs, and he rarely looks overmatched.
  17. Oh Noe to be followed by Oh God No.
  18. Oh Noe! Living up to my low expectations.
  19. Agreed, but he hasn't logged a lot of innings this year and he is in a groove right now. He has been handling a very potent lineup. We may have a big lead, but our parade of pigs from the pen could change that.
  20. Very nice play up the middle by Holt.
  21. Bradley with a 4 for 4 day and continues with the extra basehits. They may have to promote him from the 9 hole.
  22. Yep. I realize that the Blue Jays are a big home run team and they victimize everyone. Porcello's gopher ball rate bears watching going forward, but today is not necessarily a negative indication, because these Toronto guys are bashers.
  23. Doji gives this stuff a lot of thought an analysis. He likes to discuss the off beat possibilities. I think there is enough disagreement about the obvious. Lol!
  24. That is the way he will be successful -- groundballs and double plays.
