  1. The Mets retain Cespedes with a one year opt out
  2. He can sweat 15 lbs on a hot day.
  3. I don't think anyone can make sense of his firing. Maybe if the team has another poor season they will fir the grounds crew.
  4. I hope not, but I have little confidence in Farrell and his coaches.
  5. The first telecast will be February 29th
  6. If Farrell doesn't bring this team in with at least a .500 record, I will protest outside of Fenway Park every day with a bullhorn demanding that Farrell be discharged.
  7. Hanley is reportedly down to 234 lbs. How heavy was he last year if he has lost a significant amount of weight?
  8. But what about the projections with a margin of error of plus or minus 6 games?
  9. Other than the Yankee fan posters?
  10. Barnes' performance was underwhelming in 2015 -- very disappointing.
  11. They are purely entertainment, for shits and giggles.
  12. I'd give him a rake and let him help the grounds crew. He missed his window. Plus, he is not good.
  13. A much needed lefty arm for the Mets bullpen.
  14. Upton, Miggy, Kinsler, VMart and JD Martinez. Not a bad batting order.
  15. In 2013, Victorino played RF and he was the better OFer than Ellsbury. Victorino didn't have a Dewey quality arm, but he does have a strong arm.
  16. Shaun Marcum announced his retirement. Arm problems derailed what looked to be a very promising career.
  17. Why do they look at them? Shits and giggles, curiosity, because they are there, or just for purposes of conversation. A lot of them probably also do the crossword puzzle.
  18. The better arm should be in RF in Fenway. Bradley's arm is a weapon in RF. Betts arm in RF is just barely adequate.
  19. If he returns to his career norms of putting up 200 innings and a 4.25 ERA, he will not have to make excuses.
  20. Let us know if you spot him at the buffet.
  21. I have no doubt that FOs look at FanGraph's projections. I also have no doubt that they have no need for them and that the FG projections for standings do not influence their player moves.
  22. I acknowledged the entertainment aspect of the projections. Other than that, I see no use in them. That doesn't take the fun out of it. It recognizes that they are purely fun and not serious.
  23. Lots of excuses have been produced for Porcello's horrible 2015 (and it was horrible). In 2016, he needs to put up because he will be out of excuses.
  24. Let's just hope that Sandoval's 2 adays doesn't refer to naps. Lol!
  25. The FanGraphs projections like all other projections are useless except for entertainment value. Knowledgeable GMs could come up with the same projections by just perusing team rosters. The computer models that come up with this stuff is a waste of technology.
