    Pace doesn't mean anything. They are on a pace for 112 wins. If anyone would like to wager that they will put up 112 wins, I am all ears. Yeah, they are a very good team and they are on pace to win 112 games. They are not going to win 112 games. Pace means nothing. They are good because they are talented, not because of their pace -- good or bad. A team or a player is good or bad because of their talent. Their pace dictates nothing. Stat heads are always talking about regressing to norms. And there is some validity to that. That notion runs counter to this "pace" theory. When you have 2 years of play under your belt, you have not established any pace for the course of your career -- not even within a large margin of error. Carl Crawford was on pace for more career hits than Derek Jeter when we got him.

    Buchholz rejoins the rotation on Wednesday against the White Sox. Ughh! Winning next Wednesday is probably a no-brainer because it is my next at the game mojo game. Don't be fooled by any success that he has next Wednesday. LOL!!

    I don't think pace means anything. I remember when Reggie Jackson was on pace for 66 Home Runs at the All Star Break in 1969. He has 37 Home Runs and finished with 47 Home Runs. Pace means nothing.

    I still blame Mia. He was offered a very large contract by the Red Sox. He ended up in LA for a lot less. Thanks to Mia.

    I blame Mia Hamm pressuring him to move to LA. Until then, he always had a smile on his face and he always enjoyed playing.

    DD should make some moves to go for it all this year while we have Ortiz to ride. If it costs some prospects, so be it. There will always be fresh crops of kids. People here in defending Cherries have said that a Championship was worth 3 last place finishes. DD should go for it.

    We will not be facing Wade Miley on Saturday. He has been placed on the DL. I wonder if the mariners are having second thoughts about passing on Buch.

    I am sure that is fun. Watching the Independent League Long Island Ducks and the Mets A Brooklyn Cyclones are both fun for me. Baseball at almost any level is fun for me to watch, but I am not anticipating seeing any of them in the majors in the near future.

    I think the PED cloud over Nomar is extremely unfair. He is no more of a suspect to me than any other player from that era.

    I do, when they get to AA. I don't have the time to follow the Gulf Coast A league.

    I am not worried about the PR of the situation, nor am I concerned about the sensibilities of his replacement. I am concerned about the offense experiencing inconsistency for a long time.
