  1. And there goes Swihart's trade value.
  2. Red Sox fans tend to be snobs about the ALE, but they have not been the premier division for a number of years. The Central has been a better division and prior to this year the west had been tougher too.
  3. If i were the owner of the Orioles, I would have that mayor run out of town. The mayor and the rest of their crooked politicians are pleading for empowerment zones and for businesses to move there and create jobs. A week of riots is not going to have the effect of inducing businesses to line up to invest in Baltimore, nor were the businesses that got burned to the ground going to be anxious to rebuild.
  4. Thunder needs to stay away from making game threads.
  5. For many years when the Red Sox or Yankees played the Orioles, Camden Yards would be packed, even when the O's were terrible. Red Sox fans and Yankee fans made the trip in droves. I would go to Camden Yards at least once a year. I have been noticing that despite the O's and Red Sox fighting for first place that there are plenty of empty seats in Camden Yards the last couple of games. I guess that is what happens when you burn down your city for a week trapping fans inside the ballpark for their own safety. I always loved going there and eating crab cakes at the inner harbor, but I heard a few horror stories about Red Sox fans that were there when all hell broke lose in that city so I will not be going any time soon.
  6. I would not have waited for the opening of Spring Training before making a move for another pitcher. DD should be working on a move to add pitching now.
  7. Unfortunately, this has been his level throughout his career.
  8. This was on of the very few games that I will miss this season. I picked a good game to miss. We score 7 runs and lose by 5. That is not acceptable. We scored 9 last night and on Saturday and lost those games too. DD needs to do something. This is atrocious. Porcello has had a real proclivity for givig up home runs since we got him. It is a bad sign for a Sinker ball pitcher to give up so many home runs.
  9. The problem had been his hands. It was chronic but now they look to be fully healthy. Now that he is in his 30's he has to pay more attention to the conditioning of his legs. He seems to have addressed that too. I expect 2 to 3 more highly productive seasons from him.
  10. Good. He was a black hole in the rotation.
  11. There is nothing wrong with the offense. It is the pitching.
  12. We hit 5 home runs and we are going to lose the game. I wonder if the Red Sox have ever done that in their history.
  13. We gave away this game.
  14. Luckily for Clay that he has a skill to fall back on -- fencing stolen goods is a very lucrative field.
  15. That was an entire year after my first game.
  16. I am getting tired of posting it. Freaking ridiculous.
  17. If Clay can't get that as a called strike, he's toast.
  18. 8 runs should be enough to win any game.
  19. I hope Johnson isn't watching this or he will have to run for some anti-anxiety meds.
  20. Buch will let that error blow up the game.
