    LOL!! He just doesn't look like the same guy as last year. If he did, the decision would be easy. I would just delay any move until Leon turns back into a pumpkin.

    Hanigan has looked horrible both offensivelyand defensively this year. I am a big proponent of going with the hot hand. I'd stick with Leon until he plays himself out. Sometimes a guy gets it figured out and becomes a good hitter.

    I am a big believer in sticking with the hot hand. Hanigan will need a rehab assignment. Leave him in Pawtucket for the maximum period. If Leon remains hot, keep him in the majors. If the guy steps up and wins the job, it is only fair.

    If you make a lot of contact, you will hit into a fair amount of DPs. Yaz made a living on the hole between first and second when a runner was being held on. When he missed that hole, a DP was not uncommon. Pedroia also makes his living hitting that hole. He is coming out of the RH batters box and he is not as fast as he used to be. Rice's ground balls got to the infielders very quickly. He hit the ball very hard. Many times, he was probably 4 steps out of the box when the infielders fielded his grounders.

    I was surprised when I saw Benintendi. He is short and slight. He makes Betts look like a power lifter.

    He will probably blow a tire soon after he joins the team. That has been his history. He never wanted to leave the Mets, so this could rejuvenate him. As for the wife beating, we have seen a long history of different rules applying to athletes. Society is willing to sweep it under the carpet when professional athletes are involved. As a baseball move, it looks like a good move for the Mets. Plus, it fits the cheap assed Mets budget as they will only pay him the league minimum.

    Good move by the Mets. They have big holes in their lineup with Wright done for the season and Duda with a broken back.

    I have always liked the kid when I have seen him at Spring training. He has good power.

    I have always had difficulty wrapping my mind around the fact of his success at MLB substandard velocity for closers. Even in 2013 I constantly worried that he would turn into a pumpkin. Now, when I see 79 mph for his splitter on the scoreboard it makes me wince. Yet, he gets the job done. He must be tremendously deceptive.

    I love having Price on the team. He is a legit big game pitcher and ace. He ran into a hot team tonight and got banged around. It happens, but we still won the game.
