Someone had him in the minors and wasn't promoting him. He opted out of the minor league deal and was a FA when we signed him. That is my recollection.

If we play the Guardians, i would have no problem rolling Fister out to the mound, but I don't think Farrell will send him out ahead of Pomeranz unless he really falters down the stretch.

The stupid running is has not been limited to him. Hanley has done more than his share and Bradley has pulled several rocks too, and others. Responsibility lies at the doorstep of the coaches and Farrell. -

Tanaka has been awful in day games this season. Let's hope that that continues.

I was watching the Cardinal game the other night and Tim McCarver was talking about the speed of the Red Sox. He thinks that our base running is a big asset. He mentioned that we ran wild in the 2 games against the Cardinals. He is a National League guy and he was gushing about our team speed. I never thought I would hear that.
