  1. Someone should have hit that old fool 25 years earlier when he refused Yaz who pleaed to have him pitch Bill Lee against the Yankees instead of the immortal Bobby Sprowl.
  2. But he is terrible defensively. That is usually the most important criteria for backup catchers.
  3. I listen to many Yankee broadcasts, and I don't think that they are much more partial than the ESPN coverage.
  4. I listen to the radio feed. I can't take the ESPN crew.
  5. And Mendoza thinks that her primary role in the booth is to stroke Boone's ego.
  6. Mookie is a shadow of what he was last season. Even when he gets the barrel on the ball, it does not seem to be jumping like it did last year. His bling does match his cleats this year. Maybe that is the problem.
  7. Going into the series, all i wanted was a split. That would have buried the Yankees chances at the Division title and could have hurt them in the WC race. Hopes for a split was not overly ambitious, but no, we resuscitated the MFY's once again this season!!! f*** that!
  8. He still throws to the wrong base too often -- sometimes airmailing it wildly. He also is still having trouble with caroms off the monster and walls at other parks. These are the areas that he needs to improve. Those are his deficiencies so far. As a natural CFer, he tracks fly balls very well and with good speed. Let's hope those deficiencies improve before they bite us in a big spot. No one is worrying that he is Hanley out there, but he isn't Yaz yet -- regardless of any advanced metrics.
  9. The dynmaics of the game, but as Moon pointed out, eventually it bites you in the ass. Ask Mets fans who watched Terry Collins get out managed by Ned Yost and give away the 2015 World Series.
  10. Luckily for managers that stupid moves often go unrewarded.
  11. If they win, he gets to keep his job even if he is the biggest dope standing upright. That's plent of credit-- much of it undeserved.
  12. We came back from 3 runs down in Fenway against the Yankees.
  13. Another hit by Headly. Wtf!
  14. You are right. f*** that!
  15. Hicks is awful in CF but always seem to stick up his glove at the last second to find the ball. Damn!
  16. I will jump out of my seat if Hanley drives one out of the park.
  17. Nice play by Didi.
  18. Let's not get him thrown out at home on a hit.
  19. Nunez keeps on hitting.
  20. Judge is just missing balls lately.
  21. That hit could keep Pom from going 6
  22. Possibly. If Lin puts the ball in play here, definitely.
  23. Farrell runs us out of an inning.
  24. Farrell is brainless F****. My apologies to Spud.
