  1. Why? I like young pitchers. Other than Papelbon and Beckett, we don't have any that have established themselves in the majors. I expect Dice K will soon prove himself. I think Lester has quite a ways to go.
  2. He'll have to get better coomand of his stuff if he wants to be more than that.
  3. He'll finish in the .270's with 13-15 HRs.
  4. Igawa with a good 5 innings tonight.
  5. There's that diving pitch again. This time he k's Morneau
  6. Youklis with his great lack of speed makes it a close play at the plate.
  7. If you have Direct TV it's on the Twins station
  8. The bottom part of the Red Sox lineup is nothing to squawk about this year either.
  9. Welcome aboard.
  10. The two don't even compare. Lidge is far superior. Julio looks like he is going to toss his cookies in pressure situations.
  11. Part of choking is not being able to spot your pitches in pressure situations. I don't think his game has matured so much by going to the NL. I think he went to a low pressure division with light offense. If he comes back to the AL East, he'll start throwing balls to the backstop.
  12. For a guy who had an off year didn't he have something like 32 saves and 6 BS. I'll take that in an off year.
  13. He stinks. He chokes in pressure situations.
  14. He's too wild to be in any pressure situation. I've said it before on these boards. He's Heathcliff Slocumb without the talent.
  15. Here's the picture from Matsuzala's game. The caption indicates that Ellsbury scored on Hinske's HR. http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/03/16/1174074960_8396.jpg Here's another link indicating that Ellsbury played on Friday. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2007/03/walk.html And another link: http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2007/03/17/score_one_for_matsuzaka/ Either he played in the game or someone else was wearing #82 during that game.
  16. No one answered my question the other day about Ellsbury playing against the Dodgers even though he had been sent down. Does anyone know why?
  17. Rather than Andruw Jones? Why?
