  1. The Damon fiasco was bad no matter what Crisp does or if he is traded. He walked to our rivals filling a key hole for them and improving them. Also, in light of what the FO was willing to pay an injury-prone Drew, Damon's contract looks quite reasonable. Keeping Crisp will not make the Damon situation look better or worse.
  2. You sick bastard! lol! I have had the baseball package since Primestar offered it.I don't even remember the year. Was it the '90's? I only miss games for poorly planned funerals and weddings, but only for close family members-- may they all live 100 years.
  3. I'd sign up for that, even the heart attacks.
  4. He's setting the stage early for him to opt out of his contract at the end of the year. He'll end up with either the Cubs, Mets or Boston. He'll go back to playing SS.
  5. I think I heard it on a Red Sox telecast. Anyway,Pauley stinks. He has no future in the Red Sox organization.
  6. He's worth Kyle Snyder and David Paulie. We'll have to waive both of them after ST anyway.
  7. I think I might have been mixing up Romero with Rincon (a righty) who had great stats, but always got raked by the Yankees. He's trhe choker. Romero is s*****, but not a choker.
  8. Maybe he is trying to shock and frighten the FO into getting him a closer.
  9. I agree. He'll probably be traded within a week.
  10. Corey gave up 1 run and 4 hits today. That will not help him. What about Breslow as the lefty from the pen? In order, this is how I like the lefties: 1. Okijima, 2. Lopez, 3. Breslow, 4. J.C. Romero. Two and three are really close in my opinion.
  11. I am not really being that generous, because Snyder and I think Pauley will have to pass through waivers if they don't make the 25 man roster and they will likely be claimed.
  12. Do you think Corey has a chance to stick?
  13. Nice K by Snyder with a man on 3rd and less than 2 out. They need him to pump up his trade value.
  14. They could have Kyle Snyder and/or David Pauley.
  15. And if you are right, I would either unload Loretta or relegate him to a utility role like he has in Houston. If you are wrong, you'll have to resort to Cora fulltime or you'll have to trade some prospects to get someone. I'd have Loretta. I think I am better positioned. You are exposed if Pedroia underperforms or gets injured. It happens. We have established major league back ups at 5 positions in case of injury. WMP can handle any of the three OF positions if one of the starters go down. Is he a step down? Yes, but he is a proven MLer with some flaws in his game. At first and third, Hinske can step in. He's not a good player. He's average at best, but he has been a major league starter or platoon player at both postions. Cora is a temporary solution if there is an injury at short or second. If either guy were to go down for a prolonged period, the FO would have to make an acquisition. Lugo is a proven MLer, so the only risk is injury. With Pedroia, there is the risk of nonperformance in addition to the injury risk. We are more vulnerable at 2B than any position other than the bullpen. Just my opinion.
