Bloom decided to ride with what he has. I don’t understand that perspective, because unless the team is absolutely stacked, it is doomed to failure. If All of your competitors are improving themselves for the stretch run, staying Pat with a very flawed team can’t succeed. I said it weeks ago. He should have sold, clear the deck except for Devers, Casas,, Duran, Bello and the parts that can’t be given away.

And if they finish last for the 3rd time in his 4 years, you will still be hailing him as a success. All those teams ahead of us should only be so fortunate to have such talent at the helm.

Excellent game against an extremely tough pitcher and team. Casas has come of age and so has Duran (who needs to play every day). Bello looks like our first big time home grown starting pitcher since Lester. Story coming returning should help the run production and the defense (which is the big Achilles heel). -
Oh well, I think Matt Harvey is available to be signed.

Duvall has big time power. Kike is an awful offensive player.

I think that The Dodger approach is to get as many players as possible. They can afford mistakes when they have Betts, Freeman and JD hitting in a row.

Getting rid of Kike is the best move that Bloom has mad in a while. Kudos to Bloom and good riddance to Kike.

Sell Sell Sell! There is nothing to add to on this team. It is below average across the board and it is not fixable in the short term and maybe not even fixable for next season. I think a good start on changing the direction of this ship would be firing Bloom. He has been given enough rope and he has hung himself. Maybe Cherries needs a coffee boy in Pittsburgh.

Metrics dictate the moves and removes managerial accountability. He can always pull out the stats to defend himself when a move blows up in his face.

Maybe Bloom will extend Kike for his versatility- a below average bat and below average at 2 of 3 positions. He is a building block.

we would be in much worse shape without Kenley and Martin. -
In non-Dombrowski seasons since 2013, the Red Sox have finished last in 4 out of 5 seasons and they are taking aim at 5 out of 6 last place finishes.

I think I could finish last with a lot less effort. When Ralph Kiner wanted a raise, Branch Rickey said, “we finished last with you last year. I am pretty sure that we can finish last without you.” We can finish last without Bloom or or cheater Cora.
