    If he went to management and asked for a trade, I'd try to trade him. If he didn't and he's not being a distraction, I'd rather have him as insurance on my bench as opposed to getting some spare BP piece or a second tier prospect. What's the rush? They are going to pay his salary anyway.

    Nah, not taking it out on you. I just hate the phonies in suits masquerading themselves as businessmen. They are all throughout the FO's of baseball. It's still the old boys club. Most of your GMs have no business training at all. Our iortiz could run circles around those guys. Also, why are there no female GM's? The FO's in baseball are full of frauds. I'm not limiting my opinion to the Red Sox. Yes, I I have a disdain for them, but I can judge their moves with objectivity.

    They also have more resources than most team. Any number of the other frauds in FO's around the league could have done as well or better with those resources, IMO.

    I'll send an email to Cubs ownership with a letter of reference for Theo citing Morales as a great acquisition if he keeps pitching this way. Maybe they'll give Theo a raise. Other than that, he's a thousand miles away, left us in a financial bind where we can't acquire much needed pitching, but we already knew all that. He's irrelevant.

    I can't wrap my head around this^. I need the WS to end before I start dreaming about next season. Right now, it means nothing to me, not when the Sox are fighting to stay out of the basement with July coming in a week.

    They had 4 more days to wait and the DL could have been retroactive. He over-did the Ibuprofen and probably gave himself the beginnings of an ulscer. get him on some tagamet or other strong acid blocker and run his ass out there. Another pampered wuss. Mommy, my tummy hurts. You'll be okay son. Now get your books and I'll drive you to school since you aren't feeling too well. I guess she would have social services investigating her today.

    With Beckett and Buchholz on the DL, I think they need to get a good starter in here.

    I wish it was Matsuzaka hitting the DL, but instead it is Buchholz. He had just turned the corner and had been our best starter recently:
