As a fan, I don't care much about that, especially after the ticket prices have been set for the year. Secondly, the figures that I have seen indicate that they are over the cap anyway. Third, I wouldn't mind if they used the Scutaro money to improve the team in another area. They have not done so. I never said that there wasn't a sound business motivation for the Sox. However, I don't really care about a few million being spread around the ownership group at the expense of the on field product. That's my fan's perspective. The team would have been better off with Scutaro than Punto. If I was a Sox owner or investor, I might feel different, but I am just a fan. All I know is that Punto sucks and Scutaro was useful.
