    I can't wrap my head around this^. I need the WS to end before I start dreaming about next season. Right now, it means nothing to me, not when the Sox are fighting to stay out of the basement with July coming in a week.

    They had 4 more days to wait and the DL could have been retroactive. He over-did the Ibuprofen and probably gave himself the beginnings of an ulscer. get him on some tagamet or other strong acid blocker and run his ass out there. Another pampered wuss. Mommy, my tummy hurts. You'll be okay son. Now get your books and I'll drive you to school since you aren't feeling too well. I guess she would have social services investigating her today.

    With Beckett and Buchholz on the DL, I think they need to get a good starter in here.

    Scully is the best ever. His games are a work of art. He does both color and play by play. He's a solo act every night, and he has been announcing games since the early 1950's. He's amazing.

    This is the second year of an 8 year deal. This was supposed to be the part of the contract where the team got the big returns. I think there is always a big concern about the back end of such a long contract, but to fall off a cliff in the second season is more than a bit concerning. We are running Youkilis out of town, but his OBP is .311 while Gonzo's is only .313. WTF are we mad at Youk about? We have this guy Gonzo tying us up with a huge contract for 6 more seasons.

    He was drafted in 2006. There are no 2006 stats for him, because my recollection is that they couldn't promote him from the instructional league in 2006. This kid was a project. It took 2 1/2 years to get him major league ready. They didn't just hand him the ball in the late innings and a reliever was born. They broke the guy down and rebuilt him. It took time. Unlearning and relearning muscle memory at this level takes time.

    The f***ing hitting genius, Agon is killing us. On the national broadcasts, they keep talking about his knowledge about hitting etc. You would think that he would have had figured this out by now. Some f***ing hitting genius!

    Nah, he's been rather sucky so far this season. Luck evens out after almost half of a season. He's not executing when he has to execute.

    I am waiting for Pedroia to break out any day. Gonzo is a complete mystery.
