  1. But our pitching is trending in the right direction. It's almost at #26.
  2. Fred, have you been to Chicago in the past.
  3. Pay attention to details man! This is important stuff.
  4. And his May OPS of .841 is alarming?
  5. Packaging Nava in a trade would be a great idea.
  6. He hasn't had enough work since his injury. He has options.
  7. Yes, physically he has declined in two months. OMG, maybe he has Lupus! or maybe pitchers have adjusted to him and decided not to let him hurt them and that he has has had very little protection around him, especially when Pedroia was out. When Pedy and Gonzo start to pick up, pitchers will have to start pitching to him again, and as the big man says, someone is gonna pay. I don't think he is ready for a wheelchair.
  8. I'll take a .340 OBP for my 5th OFer, but more importantly, he is the better OFer and he can play CF. He doesn't steal 70 bases anymore. If he did, he would be starting for some team instead of competing for the 5th OF slot. He still runs very well, and could be effective as a pinch runner or bunter. He is a better rounded professional than Nava.
  9. When all of the outfielders are back healthy, Ellsbury and Crawford should play every day with Sweeney and Ross platooning in RF. The 5th outfielder that I would pick would be Pods, because he can play CF and run. He is a good OBP guy. He brings a dimension that Nava doesn't bring. I'd like to keep Nava because he can put the bat on the ball and he has improved his fielding, but he can only play LF.
  10. Great game by Buchholz tonight. He looks to be right back on track where he was before he broke his back. Gonzo looked to be right on pitches tonight. First time in a long time where he swung the bat well. Hopefully, Dice K can do a good job on Saturday.
  11. Happy Anniversary to you and Mrs. Bush. Hopefully, you can celebrate with a win.
  12. http://blogs.providencejournal.com/sports/red-sox/2012/06/ten-years-after-debut-with-cubs-mark-prior-aiming-for-return-to-major-leagu.html
  13. I'd like an accounting on the win-loss record of posters making game threads. We need to know who is sucking and keep them away from making GT's.
  14. They are acting like two spoiled brats. Memo to Beckett and Lester, grow the f*** up. Put your passion toward earning your money and stop being mad at the world. Whatever is going wrong in your professional lives is your own fault.
  15. I don't know why they played double play depth with Chavez up. Chavez is extremely hard to double up, and there were none out. Why let in the run? Between that and letting Byrd bat with runners in scoring position and less than 2 outs, cost us the game. Bobby V is getting a little soft in the head.
  16. If the Sox lose this game they will have a 10-15 record against the ALE. That's not very encouraging.
  17. We need Pedroia to get hot with this interleague schedule coming up.
  18. Why not Nava? Shoppach k's too much.
  19. The Yankees pitching is exposing the weak Tampa lineup.
