  1. Wow!! And he still stunk.
  2. He got traded yesterday. I think he is still a current topic of conversation. If you don't like me discussing the trade, hit another thread.
  3. From the Chicago Tribune: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/ct-spt-0625-rogers-youkilis-chicago--20120625,0,6808460.column
  4. White Sox GM, Williams said that he couldn't repeat what Youkilis said but he is apparently chomping at the bit to prove some people wrong-- most probably Bobby V. Just what we need is for him to be motivated to stick it to us. That would be hard to do from the NL.
  5. Maybe Lester can go on the DL for mental duress or general whininess. He keeps telling us that he feels good and is throwing great. Yet, we are losing more than 60 percenrt of his starts. Hey Jon, it's not a mystery. You suck. Pull your s*** together and start winning. I am tired of hearing how well you throw after you lose.
  6. He's so annoying. He's throw your TV out the window annoying.
  7. They probably offered next to nothing. The guy had little value based on his performance this season.
  8. Absolutely!
  9. and that would be the subject of the bet. The WAR of Youk vs that of Zach and Lillibridge + 1 for the $2 million. Do you want the bet?
  10. It was a no-brainer to trade him. It was also a no-brainer not to trade him to competition.
  11. Not enough to let him compete against us. I am not saying that the ChiSox didn't offer the best deal. It just wasn't good enough to let him stay in the AL and compete with us. One last time for you guys who are obviously trolling me on this. I'd have given him to an NL team rather than let him stay in the AL and compete against us for a pitcher that is a long shot and a utility guy not as good as Alex Cora.
  12. I think they made a mistake. They should have give him to the Dodgers and taken whatever the Dodgers were offering. It wouldn't matter if what we got was worse than Zack.
  13. Crazier things have happened. I just wish they went hoping for a crazy thing from an NL team.
  14. You are missing my point. I'd rather have taken nothing from an NL team. The point is not moot. Zack sucks. He will not help us this year or next. I'd rather have gotten a bag of balls and sent him to a team that will not be competing with the Red Sox for a playoff spot.
  15. Zack Stewart? He's a nobody. The guy stinks.
  16. Check MLBTrade Rumors. Several NL teams were interested in Youk-- the Dodgers and Pirates had reported interest for several days.
  17. i would never make a trade with a competitor that would help them. If Youk helps them at all, we should've sent him to the NL. We didn't get anything in return from the Chi Sox, so why help the competition?
  18. I am praying that MVP was just being an *******.
  19. How will we measure if Youk is the reason? That bet makes no sense. They are a competitors. Let's just look to see if Youk has a positive effect on their WAR that exceeds what we got in return. How much does a win cost the Sox... more than $2 million? We can subtract 1 from Youk's WAR to account for the $2 million.
